At Netflix, our mission is to entertain the world. Together, we are writing the next episode - pushing the boundaries of storytelling, global fandom and making the unimaginable a reality. We are a dream team obsessed with the uncomfortable excitement of discovering what happens when you merge creativity, intuition and cutting-edge technology. Come be a part of what’s next.

The Payments Product Finance & Strategy team is looking for a highly analytical and product-oriented Associate to join our team based in Los Gatos, California. You will play an essential role in monitoring payment performance and driving the deep-dive analyses that increase subscriber acquisition, improve retention, and maximize global revenue. You will be part of the team responsible for turning payments data into business and product insights that directly inform the evolution of our payments strategy. To succeed, you must be a self-starter with a builder mindset, capable of navigating a fast-paced environment and communicating complex technical ideas to a diverse set of stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner closely with Product Managers to inform and influence the payments roadmap. You will lead the strategic assessments and impact sizing required to help PMs navigate complex trade-offs and prioritize initiatives with the highest global ROI. This includes working cross-functionally throughout the organization with a large number of stakeholders (e.g. Payments, Commerce Finance & Strategy, Data Science, Engineering, and Consumer Insights etc.).

  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators across the payment lifecycle, including checkout conversion, payments performance, and measuring impact of new payment method offerings and retention optimizations.

  • Monitor payment processing cost, identify trends and opportunities for cost savings with key vendors and strategic payment partners. Conduct regular audits to ensure the payment processing fees are correctly applied per contract and ecosystem rules.

  • Synthesize complex data into clear, compelling memos and presentations for executive leadership. You must be able to tell the story behind the numbers, translating technical payment metrics into actionable business insight.

  • Partner with Data Science and Data Engineering to define requirements for metric dashboards, ensuring data integrity and accuracy while identifying opportunities to improve analytical tooling efficiency.

Qualifications:

Netflix is growing fast with a flat organizational structure, which means that employees are often asked to perform tasks with a range of difficulties. The ideal candidate will be prepared to regularly “roll up their sleeves” to perform more mundane tasks on the same day that they present to the executives of the company. Candidates must be curious, motivated, disciplined, and able to work autonomously.

  • 5+ years experience in a highly analytical role (e.g., Finance & Strategy, Product Analytics, or Strategic Operations).

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, and experience with crafting strategy and data insight to executive-level presentations (e.g. memos, slides). You can simplify complex technical concepts into a clear, compelling narrative.

  • Excellent at turning business questions into analytical plans and connecting insights to product-oriented actions.

  • Prior experience in the payments and commerce product space is not required but highly preferred.

  • Excellent analytical skills, including the ability to use business intelligence tools (SQL and Tableau), build financial models, sort through complex data to crystallize business implications, and craft a data-driven story. Experience with Python or R, and familiarity with using GenAI toolkits, is a plus.

  • Self-driven, comfortable with a fast-paced and highly ambiguous environment. Capable of remaining highly organized and aligned in a loosely structured organization.

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, accounting, mathematics, statistics or a related quantitative field.
