Netflix is one of the world's leading entertainment services, with over 300 million paid memberships in over 190 countries enjoying TV series, films and games across a wide variety of genres and languages. Members can play, pause and resume watching as much as they want, anytime, anywhere, and can change their plans at any time.

The Netflix Publishing team (Tudum.com, Tudum Magazine, Netflix Podcasts) is seeking a strategic and relentlessly curious Manager to co-own the execution of Netflix Publishing’s expansion into a truly "off-platform" world. This role is equal parts platform programmer, strategic partner, and innovative experimenter.

You’ll partner closely with the Netflix UCAN social team to program our core owned channels (TikTok, Threads, Instagram, X) while simultaneously executing our expansion strategy onto new surfaces (e.g., Substack, Apple News, Apple Maps Guides, and beyond). You will be our team's expert on "what's next," constantly testing new tools and platforms to amplify our storytelling and drive measurable conversions, audience growth and engagement to Tudum.com.

You’ll work in lockstep with the Manager, Publishing Social, to co-program content across the wider Netflix platform ecosystem and help bring "Publishing connective tissue" to our experimental efforts on new-to-us platforms like Reddit, Discord, and LinkedIn. You will also co-own the critical relationship with our social creative agency, guiding them to produce best-in-class work.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute daily, weekly, and monthly content programming strategies for Publishing's core owned channels in close collaboration with Manager, Publishing Social and Specialist, Off-Platform Prestige (TikTok, Threads, Instagram, X), ensuring alignment with editorial priorities, company priorities, brand voice and specific audience segments.

  • Lead the tactical rollout onto new owned platforms (Substack, Apple News, etc.), tailoring content, cadence, and voice for each unique environment.

  • Manage day-to-day workflow and content optimization on new platforms such as Apple News.

  • Actively research, test, and scale new off-platform tools, technologies, and partnerships designed to amplify our storytelling and drive user conversion to Tudum.com.

  • Partner with Manager, Publishing Social as a co-creative and operational lead for our social creative agency, managing briefs, feedback, budget, and performance to ensure best-in-class creative output.

  • Partner with the Manager, Publishing Social, to co-program and syndicate Publishing content across the scaled Netflix ecosystem (Facebook, Instagram, Threads, X, and priority title-specific handles).

  • Collaborate with Manager, Publishing Social on experimental "test-and-learn" agenda on emerging or new-to-us platforms (e.g., LinkedIn, Reddit, Roblox, Discord, Pinterest) to identify and scale new growth opportunities.

  • Collaborate daily with Publishing Editorial, Creative Studios, and Discovery teams to ideate and produce platform-specific content that intercepts fans at the perfect moment in their viewing journey.

  • Work cross-functionally with Publishing Editorial, Creative Studios, and Discovery to ensure our storytelling is platform-specific, timely, and reaches the right audience at the right moment.

  • Analyze and report on platform performance, using data to inform content strategy, optimize for engagement and conversion and share key learnings with cross-functional stakeholders.

What We're Looking For (The Ideal Candidate):

  • Experience: 7+ years in social media management, audience development, or digital partnerships, preferably within a major media, publishing, or entertainment brand.

  • A "Beyond the Feed" Mindset: You have demonstrable experience writing strategy for and creating best-in-class formats beyond traditional, algorithmically-led social platforms and are comfortable testing new initiatives in new spaces.

  • Conversion-Driven: You have a proven track record of using content to drive a specific business goal (e.g., site traffic, subscriptions, user acquisition). You think in terms of funnels and fan journeys, not just likes and shares.

  • Agency & Partner Management: You have direct experience managing relationships with external partners, particularly creative agencies. You know how to write a great brief and give clear, constructive feedback to get the best work.

  • Natural Collaborator: You can seamlessly navigate a complex organization, build consensus, and work fluidly across multiple teams (editorial, creative, social, data).

  • Experimental & Analytical: You have an A/B testing mindset. You’re obsessed with data, understand how to spot patterns within dashboards and data sets and are happy translating your findings into clear, accurate takeaways that help your colleagues make directional decisions. You use data to consistently optimize performance. You’re not afraid to fail fast and learn.

  • Digitally Fluent: You are deeply passionate about the current digital landscape and are the first person to explore new apps, tools, and platforms.

  • Obsessive About Details: When it comes to making sure that every launch date, spelling and publish time is 100% correct and factual, you’re as Type-A as they come.

  • Exceptional project management, communication, and presentation skills.
