Our growing global Consumer Products team brings our members' favorite stories to life through products and experiences. The team is responsible for overseeing the business and creative execution across merchandise creation, product development, licensee relationships, publishing, marketing, as well as a global division focused on live experiences.

That’s where you come in: we're seeking an experienced Senior Manager, Food Health & Beauty to lead the category strategy for the US and Canada. This role will be pivotal in driving the development and execution of FHB category plans that align with our brand goals and foster strong, strategic partnerships with the top brands and manufacturers that can secure premium shelf space at our most important retailers yielding long-term impact for our business.


The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in food, health and beauty categories with established relationships with major brands in this space. This is a category leadership role that requires a strategic mindset, exceptional communication skills, deep-seeded relationships and the ability to connect category plans to retail.


What you will do:

  • Own the category strategy for Food Health & Beauty for the UCAN region, ensuring a long-term vision and alignment with our Consumer Products business and Netflix goals

  • Set the category strategy for FHB inclusive of channel and key account approaches

  • Cultivate a pipeline of top tier partners that share our high bar of excellence and execution and align with our strategic and product vision

  • Work closely with Netflix Ads to identify and pitch top tier prospects who are often our largest ad spenders

  • Drive global alignment on category and partner priorities with other regions (EMEA, LATAM, APAC) to maximize opportunities across the globe

  • Partner with Product Development & Creative and Retail Development teams to ensure that the programs that land on shelf reflect creative excellence and vision for our fans

  • Conduct regular market analyses to identify where emerging opportunities align with our title goals

  • Lead negotiations with prospective licensing partners, ensuring favorable terms for the company and draft and review licensing contracts to ensure compliance with legal and business standards

  • Work closely with legal and finance teams to ensure proper risk management and financial structure for licensing deals

  • Monitor the financial performance of licensing deals and partnerships, including sales performance and royalty revenue

What we need from you:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or related field

  • 12+ years of experience in licensing, partnerships, or business development role and demonstrated success in executing programs that are highly dependent on cross-functional alignment. Experience within the food, health, and beauty sector is advantageous.

  • Deep understanding of market trends and emerging opportunities

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills with the ability to manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders

  • Analytical mindset with the ability to monitor and report on financial performance

  • Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to make selfless decisions that are good for the overall Netflix business

  • Desire to take bold swings and re-imagine what FHB means for the Consumer Products buisness

  • Experience working with legal, finance, product development and marketing teams

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

Generally, our compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary; we do not have bonuses. You choose each year how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options. To determine your personal top of market compensation, we rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to determine your compensation in the market range. The range for this role is $250,000-$420,000.

We also offer paid leave of absence programs. Full-time hourly employees accrue 35 days annually for paid time off to be used for vacation, holidays, and sick paid time off. Full-time salaried employees are immediately entitled to flexible time off.
