About the Role
You’ll report to the VP of Learning & Development and work closely with cross-functional partners in Talent Acquisition, IT, DEI, Legal, and Business Leadership to deliver a world-class onboarding experience at scale.
What you’ll do
- Design, implement, and evolve a globally consistent onboarding program that reflects Miro’s culture, values, and ways of working. Including a complete revamp of Miro’s in-person and hybrid onboarding programs, with in-person primarily in Amsterdam and Austin (potentially expanding to other locations as needed)
- Partner with cross-functional teams outside of Learning & Development to deliver seamless preboarding, orientation, and integration experiences
- Create and maintain onboarding content, learning journeys, and enablement resources across multiple formats and platforms
- Develop and maintain onboarding toolkits for newly hired and newly promoted managers to support new hire success and early performance
- Localize onboarding experiences to meet the needs of functional and regional teams, while ensuring alignment to global standards
- Define success metrics and feedback loops to continuously improve the onboarding experience
- Collaborate with IT, DEI, Facilities, Legal, and other stakeholders to ensure a smooth and welcoming first-day experience
- Support onboarding experiences for specific talent segments such as interns, new grads, or leadership hires
- Travel to Miro’s main hubs in Amsterdam and Austin will be frequently required (once a month), as well as possible travel to other hub locations (which may include, but not be limited to, New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles, London, and Berlin). Travel in during the first few months may be more frequent
- Manage a small team (may not be direct reports) who are located in Amsterdam and potentially other Miro hubs
What you’ll need
- 10+ years of experience in Learning & Development, People Ops, or Talent with a focus on onboarding or employee experience. With at least 5+ years of experience at scaled company of 5000+ employees
- Experience designing and leading global onboarding programs in a high-growth or tech environment
- Strong project management skills with an ability to drive alignment across multiple stakeholders and regions
- Excellent communication and facilitation skills; comfortable working across time zones and cultures
- Executive Presence & Influence is definitely a must have for this role and level, I'd add it here as well
- Ability to balance strategy and execution—you can see the big picture while also delivering strong operational outcomes
- Experience with HRIS and learning tools (e.g., Workday, LMS platforms, onboarding tech)
- Passion for designing inclusive and scalable learning experiences
A growth mindset and desire to continuously improve programs based on data and feedback - Degree in management, human resources, or business preferred
