<p><span style="font-weight:400;">We’re looking to hire a Compliance KYC Manager to manage a team of AML and sanctions professionals who </span><span style="font-weight:400;">are responsible for working a handful of customer-facing compliance queues. Balancing regulatory compliance with delivering a magical customer experience is the name of the game for this team. </span></p> <p><span style="font-weight:400;">As a Compliance KYC Manager, you will be responsible for handling team escalations, providing guidance on KYC requests from partners and risk reviews of customers, all while upholding our commitment to exceptional customer service. You will also work on impactful projects to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the compliance support function as a whole, by partnering with our engineering, design, product, and customer support teams. You will report directly to the Senior Compliance Operations Manager and will be supported by a highly functional compliance team. </span></p> <p><span style="font-weight:400;">Here are some things you’ll do on the job:</span></p> <ul> <li style="font-weight:400;"><span style="font-weight:400;">Hire and lead a team that is efficient, competent, and extremely knowledgeable about AML and sanctions regulations, our product and users, as well as the US banking system at large</span></li> <li style="font-weight:400;"><span style="font-weight:400;">Improve team efficiency and effectiveness by setting and tracking performance metrics</span></li> <li style="font-weight:400;"><span style="font-weight:400;">Build out our KYC/EDD function from the high level strategy to process implementation </span></li> <li style="font-weight:400;"><span style="font-weight:400;">Provide guidance on escalated sanctions, PEP, and Adverse Media cases</span></li> <li style="font-weight:400;"><span style="font-weight:400;">Work cross-functionally to improve our product, investigate thorny technical (either engineering or banking-related) issues, and fix bugs </span></li> <li style="font-weight:400;"><span style="font-weight:400;">Collaborate with our banking partners to make product or process changes that help our users while staying compliant with regulations</span></li> <li style="font-weight:400;"><span style="font-weight:400;">Identify opportunities to reduce unnecessary volumes through false positive rule proposals</span></li> <li style="font-weight:400;"><span style="font-weight:400;">Remain up to date on AML and sanctions regulations and procedures</span></li> <li style="font-weight:400;"><span style="font-weight:400;">Extend knowledge and learning across the compliance organization by augmenting or building tools and processes</span></li> <li style="font-weight:400;"><span style="font-weight:400;">Help the team work towards extremely high standards on response quality, and create genuine customer love</span></li> <li style="font-weight:400;"><span style="font-weight:400;">Work alongside the team on tickets when there are large issues, or when volume is unusually high </span></li> </ul> <p><span style="font-weight:400;">You should:</span></p> <ul> <li style="font-weight:400;"><span style="font-weight:400;">Have experience leading compliance teams, preferably in a high-growth environment, dealing with customers directly</span></li> <li style="font-weight:400;"><span style="font-weight:400;">Be a highly motivated people leader, comfortable working within a high risk environment under minimal supervision</span></li> <li style="font-weight:400;"><span style="font-weight:400;">Be extremely comfortable handling escalations and applying correct handling for Office of Foreign Assets Control (“OFAC”), PEP, Adverse Media, and other AML Watch List type cases</span></li> <li style="font-weight:400;"><span style="font-weight:400;">Delight in providing an exceptional customer experience</span></li> <li style="font-weight:400;"><span style="font-weight:400;">Manage relationships both internally and externally with confidence and kindness </span></li> <li style="font-weight:400;"><span style="font-weight:400;">Love problem solving and making teams, products, and processes more efficient</span></li> <li style="font-weight:400;"><span style="font-weight:400;">Have some product sense and knowledge of banking products such as ACH, International Wires, SWIFT, checks, and debit cards</span></li> <li style="font-weight:400;"><span style="font-weight:400;">Be curious about the US banking system, startups, and ecommerce companies </span></li> <li style="font-weight:400;"><span style="font-weight:400;">Enjoy learning new systems and processes in a fast paced environment.</span></li> <li style="font-weight:400;"><span style="font-weight:400;">Have excellent written and verbal communication skills</span></li> <li style="font-weight:400;"><span style="font-weight:400;">Be obsessed with quality</span></li> </ul> <p><span style="font-weight:400;">Our salary ranges are based on paying competitively for our size and industry, and all employees receive salary + equity + benefits. Individual pay decisions are based on a number of factors, including qualifications for the role, experience level, skillset, and balancing internal equity relative to peers at the company.</span></p> <p><span style="font-weight:400;">The ranges shared are for the expectations as laid out in the job description, however we are often open to a wide variety of profiles, and recognize that the person we hire may be less experienced or more senior than this job description as posted.
