Engineering Manager

Salary Range: $140,000 - $170,000

As an Engineering Manager at Lendio, you will play a pivotal role in driving technical excellence while leading and mentoring a team of engineers. You’ll be responsible for both hands-on coding and managing direct reports. Responsibilities:
Technical Leadership:
Contribute Code: Roll up your sleeves and actively participate in coding, design, and architecture discussions. Lead by example and maintain a strong technical skill set.
Innovate: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive innovation, explore new technologies, and enhance our product offerings.
Quality Assurance: Ensure code quality, scalability, and maintainability across projects.
People Management:
Team Building: Recruit, hire, and onboard talented engineers. Foster a positive team culture that encourages growth, learning, and collaboration.
Performance Management: Set clear expectations, provide regular feedback, and conduct performance evaluations. Address any performance issues promptly.
Career Development: Support career growth by identifying training needs, mentorship opportunities, and skill development paths.
Conflict Resolution: Handle conflicts within the team professionally and constructively.
Project Management:
Project Planning: Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to define project scope, timelines, and deliverables.
Resource Allocation: Allocate resources effectively to meet project goals.
Risk Management: Identify risks and proactively address them to ensure successful project execution.
Collaboration and Communication:
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with product, design, and other engineering teams to align priorities and deliver results.
Stakeholder Communication: Communicate project status, risks, and achievements to executives and other relevant stakeholders.
Qualifications
8+ years of professional experience or a combination of a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field plus experience.
2+ years of leadership experience
Proven experience as a software engineer with a strong understanding of software development principles.
Previous experience managing engineering teams.
Proficiency in full stack technologies such as PHP, Node, MySQL and Angular
Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
Strong problem-solving skills and a results-oriented mindset.
Ability to work in our Lehi, UT headquarters on a hybrid schedule (Mon, Wed, Thurs in office)
