Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a Supply Chain Manager to join the Data Center Power & Control Division Team.

This is a remote position reporting to Independence, OH & Lake Forest, CA. The Supply Chain Manager will lead sourcing and supply chain operations for optical transceiver technologies, from 1G to 800G and beyond. This strategic role involves executing global sourcing strategies, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring continuity of supply while optimizing cost, quality, and lead times. The position requires deep industry knowledge of optical components, risk mitigation (especially sources outside of China and Taiwan), and the integration of emerging technologies. Responsibilities also include driving supply chain efficiencies, supporting product management, ensuring regulatory compliance, and leading sustainability and continuous improvement initiatives.

What Will You Do?

  • Help build and manage a diversified global supply chain, thereby reducing dependency on high-risk regions, such as China and Taiwan.
  • Cultivate and negotiate with key suppliers to ensure favorable pricing, quality, delivery, and warranty terms.
  • Facilitate the execution of purchase orders with international and domestic suppliers.
  • Monitor supplier performance through metrics and scorecards to drive continuous improvement across the supply base.
  • Partner with PLM and Engineering to qualify suppliers and components aligned with evolving product roadmaps, technical requirements, and cost-down efforts.
  • Lead supply chain planning for multiple facilities, optimizing lead times, inventory turns, and cost.
  • Utilize Excel or other digital tools for data analytics to improve forecasting, decision-making, and supply chain agility.
  • Develop tariff risk mitigation strategies, including continuity plans and proactive responses to supply chain disruptions.
  • Support sustainability and compliance initiatives to ensure responsible sourcing and alignment with corporate social responsibility (CSR) goals.
  • Drive innovation through technology adoption, integrating AI and emerging tools to enhance supply chain visibility and efficiency.
  • Manage the return process for products that fail QC or are returned under warranty by the customer.

Required Skills

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year College or University with an emphasis in Business, Supply Chain, or related field, or equivalent work experience.

Experience:

  • 5+ years in operations, logistics, high-tech, or electronics manufacturing environments.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:

  • Computer proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word/ Excel/ Outlook /PowerPoint) and SAP.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple groups in the company, including Engineering, Product Marketing, and Operations.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills.
  • Strong presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven capability in global strategic sourcing, supplier negotiation, and relationship management, particularly in high-tech or optoelectronic industries.
  • Strong understanding of inventory planning, inventory optimization, and ERP/S&OP systems.
  • General knowledge of optical/transceiver technologies (e.g., silicon photonics, coherent optics, DSP, CDR, LPO/LRO, etc) and global component sourcing strategies.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage risk, lead cross-functional initiatives, and drive measurable cost savings and operational improvements.
  • Experience with supply chain compliance, sustainability initiatives, and emerging technologies such as AI and advanced analytics.
  • Experience or understanding of CSR initiatives such as Ecovadis, Carbon Emissions Reduction, Single Use Plastic Reduction, Recycled Materials/Circular Economy.

Pay Range: $110,000 - $130,000
