Lambda, The Superintelligence Cloud, builds Gigawatt-scale AI Factories for Training and Inference. Lambda’s mission is to make compute as ubiquitous as electricity and give every person access to artificial intelligence. One person, one GPU.
If you'd like to build the world's best deep learning cloud, join us.
*Note: This position requires presence at our Data Center locations 5 days per week; This role will require up to 50% Travel.
The Role
The Data Center Deployment Logistics Technician plays a critical role in Lambda’s hardware supply chain and data center operations. You’ll manage the flow of equipment from procurement to deployment, ensure accurate inventory tracking, up to date receiving, and handle RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) processes for defective hardware.
You’ll work closely with the Infrastructure Deployment team, Data Center Operations, RMA team, and Supply Chain teams to make sure hardware moves efficiently through Lambda’s global deployment pipeline — from warehouse to rack.
You’ll also develop and utilize your technical understanding of AI Infrastructure to aid in building AI Clusters at scale and act as a primary point of contact for deployment data and data center inventory.
What You’ll Do
-
Inventory & Asset Management
Maintain accurate inventory tracking for servers, GPUs, networking gear, and components across warehouses and data centers.
Receive, inspect, and record incoming shipments; verify accuracy against purchase orders and BOMs.
Organize and label assets according to Lambda’s tracking standards.
Use ERP and asset management tools to track inventory movement and deployment status.
Perform periodic cycle counts and audits to ensure data integrity.
-
Deployment Logistics
Coordinate hardware staging, kitting, shipment, and receiving for large-scale AI infrastructure deployments.
Partner with the infrastructure deployment team to ensure all components are available and prepped before installation. Act is the primary point of contact for material availability and staging at the data center.
Assist in rack integration, cabling preparation, and packaging for outbound shipments to data centers or customer sites.
Work with logistics partners to ensure timely, damage-free deliveries and returns.
-
RMA & Hardware Lifecycle Support
Manage the RMA process for defective or failed components.
Initiate RMA requests with vendors and OEMs, track replacements, and ensure proper documentation and labeling.
Maintain records of all hardware failures, replacements, and vendor communications.
Support root cause analysis by providing accurate component and failure data to engineering teams.
Ensure returned or repaired hardware is reintegrated into inventory accurately.
-
Process Improvement & Collaboration
Identify bottlenecks in the hardware logistics workflow and propose process improvements.
Collaborate cross-functionally with procurement, deployment, and engineering teams to forecast demand and align on delivery schedules.
Maintain up-to-date documentation for logistics and RMA procedures.
Uphold Lambda’s quality and operational standards in every stage of the deployment cycle.
