Who You Are
You are an experienced HR practitioner passionate about helping small businesses grow with confidence. You are comfortable handling delicate situations, with the ability to be empathetic, compassionate, adaptable, and responsive. You genuinely enjoy figuring out how and why things work and are excited by opportunities to drive process improvements. You like learning about new products, and you are an HR subject matter expert who loves helping others learn as well.
As an HR Sales Specialist, you’ll serve as an HR expert who helps shape an informed pre-sales and revenue expansion strategy for Justworks’ HR support offerings. Your ultimate goal is to drive awareness of this program in the marketplace and Sales Organization and to assist in acquiring new business for Justworks. As a key contributor to Justworks’ team selling methodology – you communicate, plan, and adapt. You’ll partner closely with the Sales, PR, and Marketing teams to educate our Sales teams, prospects, and the broader market on Justworks’ suite of HR services.
Your Success Profile
What You Will Work On
- Speak directly with prospective customers as a subject matter expert to educate them on Justworks’ HR offerings and PEO value proposition with the goal of improving our win rates
- Conduct analysis of prospective customers’ industry norms and expectations for an effective HR tech ecosystem
- Adapt communication style and vernacular to prospective customer preferences, analyze prior interactions with decision-makers to deploy effective and rhetorical rapport
- Craft and develop innovative enablement and training programs that illustrate the value proposition of Justworks’ HR support offerings, bolstering the knowledge of the sales organization
- Drive process improvement for the integration of HR support value selling into the Sales workstream and native tech ecosystem
- Collaborate with Product Marketing to identify upsell and cross sell opportunities related to HR Support and PEO as a value proposition
- Collaborate with Business Development to enhance partner channel programming through the creation and delivery of HR content to increase referral volume
- Collect, organize, and report on feedback from our partners to ensure we continuously build better, more inclusive, and effective HR programs with our customers in mind
- In collaboration with Content Marketing, generate HR-specific content in the form of blog posts, videos, webinars, live presentations, and collateral for marketing campaigns and events that spur engagement from prospects and customers
- Maintain knowledge of Justworks’ product and support offerings, as well as legal & compliance guardrails with respect to HR best practices guidance
- Maintain close contact with the HR Consulting team in order to recommend expansions of the team’s offerings (scope and scale) as well as internal process improvements
- Other duties as needed based on department and/or organizational needs

Qualifications
- Minimum of 4-5 years experience in HR, with 2+ years as an HR Generalist, HR Business Partner, HR Manager, HR Operations Specialist or similar; some HR tech sales experience may be substituted for HR experience
- Tech/SaaS or PEO experience is a plus!
- 2+ years working with and supporting employee groups in sales, marketing, advertising, media, or public relations
- 2+ years partnering with senior leadership on strategic HR program implementation
- Experience with multi-state HR operations in areas such as payroll, benefits administration, and especially employment regulation compliance (worker classification, nondiscrimination, leaves of absence, et. al.)
- Ability to work independently and communicate effectively to various levels of ICs and management
- Proven success adapting to diverse communication styles, empathizing with others to understand their priorities, and tailoring oral and written communication accordingly to achieve desired results
- Strong writing skills across various communication channels (e.g. broad-based internal announcements, executive communication, client-facing emails, and marketing collateral)
- Plus: Prior experience developing, managing and implementing targeted content via multiple channels i.e. blogs, video, webinars, live presentations etc. in order to drive interest, engagement and revenue
- If not already certified, PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP certification must be obtained within the first six months of employment - Justworks will provide financial support
The base wage range for this position is targeted at $105,000 - $125,000 in our New York City office. Final offers may vary from those listed.

Actual compensation is based on multiple factors that are unique to each candidate, including and not limited to skill set, level of relevant experience, and specific work location. Salary ranges for positions based in other locations may differ based on the cost of labor in that location.
