How you will make an impact:

As a Senior Software Engineer at Iterable, you'll be responsible for the core platform used by our growing customer base. Making this platform easy to use and attractive for non-technical users is extremely important.

You will be working leading the Audience team to enhance the core experience for customers in creating Smart content, personalized content, user segmentation, and more within Iterable. Responsible for multiple functional initiatives focusing on technologies like Scala, GraphQL, Redis, and ElasticSearch to help Iterable’s customers leverage user data and build innovative personalization.

You’ll get to:

Own the backend of the product with a huge amount of autonomy
Architect and develop solutions to scale a complex platform that reaches millions of users
Collaborate with frontend, backend, product, and design to conceptualize and build new product features
Provide direction for your team and guide standards across the Engineering organization
Improve Engineering processes, tooling, and efficiency
Mentor and guide team members

We are looking for people who have:

Relevant industry experience building production-ready, scalable web applications
Proficiency in at least one modern programming language (ideally Scala and/or Java)
Extensive experience with GraphQL, Elasticsearch and/or other relevant technologies such as Postgres and data pipeline systems.
Ability to facilitate discussions within your team and cross-functionally
A desire to be part of a values-driven Engineering team
Passion for learning -- always improving yourself and the team around you

The US base salary range for this position at the start of employment is $129,500 - 200,000. Within this range, individual pay is determined by specific US work location, as well as additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, relevant education or training, and internal equity considerations.

Please note that the range listed above reflects only base salary. The total compensation package includes variable pay (where applicable), equity, plus a range of benefits, including medical, dental, vision, and financial. In addition we offer perks such as generous stipends for health & fitness and learning & development, among others.
