Design Lead Manager, Feed Ads
We’re looking for a design leader to shape the next chapter of Feed Ads — one of the highest revenue-generating teams at Instagram. This is a rare hybrid role where you’ll both lead a design team and personally drive some of the most ambiguous, high-impact work in the organization. Success in this role will be measured by the incremental revenue you unlock through smarter, more integrated and high craft Feed and ad experiences.
Responsibilities
- Manage and grow small design team, ensuring the team delivers against goals
- Drive innovation by inventing new, ad formats and evolving the Feed surface to make ads feel more native and delightful
- Tackle ambiguity head-on — from concept to execution — bringing clarity and creativity to uncharted problem spaces
- Scale your impact by taking on execution oversight
Minimum Qualifications
- 6+ years of experience in Product Design
- 2+ years of design leadership experience
- 6+ years of experience working collaboratively with product, engineering, design, content and user research teams
- Experience building and shipping applications or software across a variety of platforms
- Experience leading product direction and strategic thinking with the experience developing product goals, identify opportunities, and make decisions based on the impact to people and the company
- Experience representing work to a broader product team and other leaders, clearly and succinctly communicating the goals and concepts
- A portfolio that demonstrates relevant work, an understanding of best practices in product design and a track record of shipping high-quality products
Preferred Qualifications
- 1+ year with direct reports under your guidance
- Experience designing on mobile for industry-leading consumer apps
- Experience with business-to-consumer marketplaces
Compensation
$165,000/year to $231,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
