The Global Design Operations team at Meta is a nimble crew of producers, communications designers and design program managers, who expertly craft stories about design for external audiences. In this role as a creative producer for @design, you will specifically help shape the Instagram brand and connect Instagram Design with the global design community. We’re seeking an efficient and organized self-starter to play a key role in our social programming on the @design channel and beyond. The day-to-day tasks for this role are varied, but all require an interest and fluency in design; flexibility and a willingness to experiment; a love of research; and a passion for Instagram, creative expression and social-first storytelling. The creative producer plays a leading role in our storytelling and activations on @design, as well as a key role in our team’s operations and strategic partnerships. Equal parts creative and strategic, this role requires keen problem-solving skills, a passion for storytelling, sound judgment and enthusiasm for the Instagram creator community.

Responsibilities

  • Editorial strategy and content creation - Collaborate with teammates, XFN and external partners to produce thumb-stopping content for @design - Oversee the editorial calendar, staying on track to produce content in a timely manner - Liaise with internal and external stakeholders (including freelancers, vendors) to ensure projects stay on schedule, managing strategy, planning, interviews, asset collection, fact-checking and more - Help ensure that programming is diverse, strategically-timed and produced in coordination with partners, showcasing a breadth of design disciplines - Develop relationships with teams across Meta to inform key narratives, publishing strategy and opportunities for collaboration - Keep a close eye on product updates to ensure that the team is making the most of our products and newest features - Set benchmarks and success metrics, develop regular @design account reports for stakeholders and implement best practices as a result of report insights
  • Source creative collaborators, including video teams, photographers, animators, motion graphics specialists and translators - Manage production calendars and navigate complex timelines - Coordinate with filmmakers and editors, content partners and community collaborators to produce elegant videos in a range of styles - Support pre-production, including location scouting and shot lists - Help on set with a range of tasks — from ordering food to aligning on framing - Manage the ROS, with detailed timelines for shoot dates and final deliverables - Collect and distribute detailed feedback to creative collaborators
  • Drive company moment storytelling - Serve as @design’s XFN lead for key company moments - Represent @design in collaborations tied to in-app artwork and other Meta-run projects, arranging interviews and working with the team to find the most impactful way to share creatives’ stories
  • Oversee editorial budgeting, payments and contracts - Track and update team budget on a regular basis and lead spending-based planning - Maintain detailed cost sheets to ensure that our rates are fair and standardized - Connect creators with freelancers and vendors to develop content and help answer questions - Take the lead on executing contracts, as needed
  • Support internal storytelling - Produce and maintain a creative production calendar for digital space curation - Ongoing support on editorial, virtual and real life experiences for internal participants, from project management to on-the-ground and technical support

Minimum Qualifications
