The Role: Business Operations Manager

Location: Fully Remote (within the United States)

About This Role:

We are looking for a strategic, empathetic, and action-oriented Business Operations Manager to join our exciting Strategy and Analytics team. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic thinker who can work cross-functionally to solve complex challenges.

What You’ll Do:

  • Assist Hazel’s executives in determining how to best take on solving the company’s biggest opportunities and most challenging problems
  • Lead and oversee mission-critical initiatives from start to finish, including initial problem identification and assessment, cross-functional strategy development, pilot design, and detailed post-mortem analysis
  • Select examples of past initiatives: market expansion assessment, account management optimization, product strategy, partnership evaluations, customer experience mapping
  • Be a thought partner and influencer with leaders and other stakeholders on key initiatives and ongoing issues
  • Support with Chief of Staff responsibilities, including preparing for Board of Directors and investor meetings and assisting with internal and external communications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 3-5 years of experience in top-tier management consulting (required)
  • Passion for our mission
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills, with an ability to structure ambiguous questions, thoughtfully prioritize efforts and efficiently drive to company-wide recommendations
  • Strong results orientation, leveraging project management skills and an entrepreneurial mindset to independently guide cross-departmental efforts
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills with teammates across all levels within the organization and with external partners
  • A natural ownership mindset and entrepreneurial approach
  • Comfort with ambiguity and getting scrappy in a humble, fast-paced environment
