About the Role:
The goTenna Product team is seeking a professional Product Owner to develop and grow our professional situational awareness product ecosystem. The ideal candidate will have a track record in translating product vision to releasable customer value and managing a portfolio of diverse software products as a Product Owner in an Agile development environment.
Primary Responsibilities:

Work with Product Managers, Product Architects and Software Architects to translate product vision and articulate high level product requirements into feature definitions and actionable user stores.

Work directly with customers and/or internal customer-facing teams (Sales, Customer Experience, etc) to gather insights to help refine requirements and user experience.

Assist Product Management leads in assessing Business Value, priority and execution timing for feature/functional requirements and non-functional requirements.

Lead requirements definition, and estimating, and execution planning with engineering teams and coordinating cross-functionally with other Product Owners as needed.

Work with Product Managers and Engineering Operations to establish and manage project or team Jira boards and associated backlogs.

Partner with Software Engineering teams (including Linux Development, Web Services, Mobile Applications and Firmware) as well as QA teams to develop and deliver requirements, work estimates and groomed backlogs.

Lead Agile ceremonies such as Sprint Planning and Backlog Grooming

Participate in weekly status and quarterly Agile planning exercises to align cross-team dependencies and resource management to ensure successful Value Delivery in accordance with the established release cadence and/or milestone requirements.

Collaborate with Technical Project Managers on Hardware Product Development Processes as it pertains to software functionality alignment to hardware systems.

Collaborate with Project Managers and the Project Management Office to report on milestone status tracking for NRE-funded contract work

Coordinate development of product documentation for internal teams (Engineering, Customer Experience, Sales) and Customer-facing documentation such as user manuals or marketing assets.

Assist Product Managers, Development Engineering and QA in development of testplans, product testing, user acceptance, and go-to-market efforts for releases
Required Experience:
-
4+ years of experience working in Software Development as a Product Owner or Product Manager
-
4+ years of experience with Agile methodologies including use of Jira & Confluence
-
Experience with Web, Mobile and Linux products
-
Experience with Firmware, and/or embedded/optimized Linux OS hardware integrations

Experience conducting market, competition, and technical research

Professional Communication skills: project specifications, documentation, presentations, etc
Preferred Experience:
-
Scrum PSPO or SAFe PMPO Certification

Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, software development or business focus.

Working knowledge of software encryption and security best practices

Working knowledge of multi-platform software solutions such as Kotlin, Flutter, Dart

Working knowledge of Embedded Edge Compute software architectures and components such as Containers / Docker / Podman and orchestration engines such as K3s, KubeEdge and Rancher/Edge

Experience with products targeted to Public-Sector, Government, or Military

Military, Public Safety, or First Responder Experience

Experience with various radio system topologies such as MANET, LMR or radio mesh networking.

Development/coding experience
