We’re looking for a strategically technical Marketing Operations Architect to own the design and long-term integrity of our marketing systems. This role ensures our infrastructure scales intentionally as our go-to-market motion grows more complex. You’ll translate business decisions into durable technical frameworks, evaluate new tools for architectural fit, and define the standards that keep our lifecycle, data, and integrations cohesive. This is a senior IC role and a true thought partner to Marketing Operations leadership.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Own Marketing’s technical roadmap, ensuring infrastructure evolves intentionally and supports long-term business priorities.
  • Design scalable lifecycle, automation, and data frameworks, defining clear implementation requirements prior to engineering execution.
  • Evaluate new technologies and capabilities for architectural fit, cross-system impact, and long-term scalability.
  • Establish and maintain governance standards across lifecycle stages, data models, and system integrations.
  • Translate business and committee decisions (e.g., lifecycle definitions, scoring frameworks) into structured, scalable system designs.
  • Identify architectural risks, technical debt, and cross-platform dependencies before they create downstream operational impact.
  • Partner with Revenue Operations and Analytics to align data modeling, lifecycle logic, and measurement implementation.
  • Review and approve implementation plans to ensure adherence to architectural standards.
  • Lead major infrastructure initiatives and new system implementations from design through post-launch evaluation.
  • Serve as a senior technical thought partner to Marketing Operations leadership, providing clear tradeoff analysis and scalable solution recommendations.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • 8+ years of experience in Marketing Operations, Revenue Operations, or Marketing Technology, including ownership of complex system design or lifecycle architecture.
  • Demonstrated experience designing scalable marketing infrastructure across integrated platforms in a B2B environment.
  • Strong understanding of marketing lifecycle design, data modeling, and cross-system dependencies.
  • Experience evaluating new tools or technologies for long-term scalability and architectural fit.
  • Proven ability to translate business objectives into durable technical frameworks and implementation plans.
  • Experience partnering cross-functionally with Marketing, RevOps, and Analytics stakeholders on complex initiatives.
  • Sound judgment in identifying technical risks, tradeoffs, and long-term system implications.
  • Strategic leader who creates clarity in high-velocity, ambiguous environments and sets long-term architectural direction
  • Establishes governance frameworks and proactively surfaces architectural risks, tradeoffs, and cross-functional dependencies
  • Trusted architectural advisor to Marketing and cross-functional executives, shaping scalable solutions aligned to business strategy
  • Hands-on experience configuring, integrating, and maintaining systems within a complex B2B marketing technology stack such as: MadKudu, Marketo, Goldcast, Demandbase, Clearbit, Salesforce, Syncari
  • Evaluates and integrates AI and emerging technologies at the architectural level, balancing innovation, governance, scalability, and business impact

The annual salary hiring range for this position is $134,000 - $210,000 USD.

Compensation is based on factors unique to each candidate, including, but not limited to, job-related skills, qualification, education, experience, and location. At Gong, we have a location-based compensation structure, which means there may be a different range for candidates in other locations. The total compensation package for this position, in addition to base compensation, may include incentive compensation, bonus, equity, and benefits. Some of our sales compensation programs also offer the potential to achieve above targeted earnings for those who exceed their sales targets.
