This leader will work in the National market segment to manage the operational strategy and process for Client Development’s direct prospecting work. This position is both a process and people leader, providing subject matter expertise on the operations of managing direct prospect opportunities through to the RFP process. This position will be instrumental in ensuring workload balancing and ensuring we maximize opportunities for growth. This leadership position will leverage automation and ensure continuous process improvement through the design and monitoring of performance metrics.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Oversee execution of our prospecting and engagement activities through data mining and analytics, creating direct-to-employer messaging, and optimizing communication structures and processes
  • Create, implement, and manage the communication channel structure and report-out process on prospect interactions and progress
  • Drive strategy on tracking of prospect activity, stage progression, and engagement statistics
  • Lead and own analytics on prospect interaction, engagement, and progress
  • Leverage prospect analytics and insights to improve our strategy, including promoting best practices and suggesting innovative changes
  • Track and manage prospect ownership among all Sales Reps
  • Develop prospect messaging, including content creation, strategy formation, and partnership with National Accounts Marketing on marketing campaign execution
  • Manage the process around annual and monthly external communications, including annual Market Strategy Meeting ownership and monthly webinar ownership
  • Hire, develop, and lead a team of professionals that oversee the administrative management of prospect data, proposal responses and sales processes

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience leading a sales support team and developing and executing on the operational components of a sales strategy
  • Experience working in Salesforce or other CRMs
  • Solid strategic focus and orientation in addressing and solving complex issues
  • Ability to assess problems and implement solutions based on sound marketing and operational principles
  • Solid analytical skills with the ability to synthesize data, draw insights, and develop strategic recommendations
  • Collaborative team player with a proactive and results-oriented approach to problem-solving

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience managing and leading teams
  • Experience working in the National Accounts business segment

Connecticut, New Jersey, New York, or Rhode Island Residents Only: The salary range for this role is $122,100 to $234,700 annually. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with al minimum wage laws as applicable.
