The Associate Patient Care Coordinator is responsible for the completion of set processes and protocols. Works cooperatively with all members of the care team to support the vision and mission of the organization, deliver excellent customer service, and adhere to Lean processes. Supports the teams in meeting financial, clinical, and service goals.

Specialty: Urgent Care 

Clinic Hours: 7:00 am – 7:00 pm, 7 days a week

Schedule: 12-hour shifts, and days will vary per business needs, and weekends are required in schedule

Primary Responsibilities: 

  • Responsible for greeting patients upon arrival and checking patients into department
  • Ensure demographics including insurance information are correct in APM, updates both as necessary
  • Schedule appointments as necessary
  • Enter charges correctly and collect appropriate payments
  • Answer phones and take messages or route incoming calls as per company policy
  • Document all calls and messages appropriately according to company policy
  • Responsible for waiting room management and implementation of efficient customer friendly processes
  • Work with clinical team staff to ensure smooth patient flow
  • Communicate with clinical / clerical personnel about service issues and complaints
  • Assist co-workers and team members with duties when requested, to include but not limited to, floating to other areas for coverage needs
  • Answers phone, takes messages and routes calls appropriately
  • Adhere to the standards identified in the Employee Policy Manual
  • Cooperate with other employees to achieve specific team goals
  • Completes other duties as assigned
  • The pace is fast, so your ability to multi-task is essential. You should also enjoy working with people and have the communication skills necessary to build strong relationships with our patients

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED (or higher)
  • CPR certified, or able to obtain certification within 30 days of hire
  • 1+ year of customer service experience in a healthcare environment
  • Beginner level of proficiency with Microsoft Office

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bilingual in Spanish and English 
  • 1+ year of related medical office experience
  • Data entry experience
  • ICD 10 and CPT coding experience 
  • Electronic Medical Records (EMR) experience   

 

Nevada Residents Only: The hourly range for Nevada residents is $16.00 to $27.31 per hour.
