DUTIES: Support Data Protection Services. Responsible for Operational Backup infrastructure, PLM and upgrades, Assist with Optum business projects. Provide on call support and react to alerting, reporting and monitoring of over 1400 devices and 60K client backups. Manage delivery of custom solutions in the Data Protection Engineering department for backup and recovery products. Responsible for the central, coordinated management of a broad range of complex requests and strategic storage initiatives. Track vendor cases regarding customer-initiated issues and create / maintain knowledge base on customer issues for future reference / customer run book. Develop, track, analyze and manage metrics and SLA. Create, update NetBackup policies and procedures. Setup and configure NetBackup server/client appliances. Telecommuting is available from anywhere in the U.S
REQUIREMENTS: Employer will accept a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Information Technology or related field and 2 years of experience in the job
offered or in an I/O Engineer-related occupation.
Position requires 2 years of experience in the following: NetBackup solutions data domain; IBM Spectrum Protect; Veritas NetBackup; Data Domain; Dell APP SYNC; VMWARE
RATE OF PAY: $135,200/year
