You will collaborate with a passionate, cross functional team to bring new features and functionality to market and drive our platform to new heights.</span> </p> <h2> <strong>You will:</strong> </h2> <ul> <li style="font-weight:400;"><span style="font-weight:400;">Take point on complex product initiatives and run them to completion with minimal supervision</span></li> <li style="font-weight:400;"><span style="font-weight:400;">Design, develop, and maintain our cargo insurance platform using the latest technologies and programming languages</span></li> <li style="font-weight:400;"><span style="font-weight:400;">Ensure our platform is performant, scalable, secure and compliant with industry regulations to keep our customer's data safe and accurate</span></li> <li style="font-weight:400;"><span style="font-weight:400;">Stay on top of the latest technology trends and advancements in the insurtech field to keep our platform at the forefront of innovation</span></li> <li style="font-weight:400;"><span style="font-weight:400;">Lead and mentor junior software engineers to help them grow and develop their skills</span></li> <li style="font-weight:400;"><span style="font-weight:400;">Participate in code and design reviews to ensure the quality and maintainability of the codebase</span></li> </ul> <h2> <strong>You should have:</strong> </h2> <ul> <li style="font-weight:400;"><span style="font-weight:400;">5+ years of experience in software engineering, preferably with a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field</span></li> <li style="font-weight:400;"><span style="font-weight:400;">2+ years of experience as a mentor, tech lead OR leading an engineering team</span></li> <li style="font-weight:400;"><span style="font-weight:400;">2+ years of experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems</span></li> <li style="font-weight:400;"><span style="font-weight:400;">Experience building and operating large scale, highly available distributed systems using AWS technologies</span></li> <li style="font-weight:400;"><span style="font-weight:400;">Excellent communication and collaboration skills</span></li> <li style="font-weight:400;"><span style="font-weight:400;">Passion for technology and the insurtech industry</span></li> <li style="font-weight:400;"><span style="font-weight:400;">At Flexport, we are constantly pushing boundaries and thinking big.
