Job Description
The Commercial Hub Marketing Manager, JAPAC is responsible for the development and execution of the commercial segment marketing strategy across the JAPAC region, aligning initiatives with business objectives and regional growth priorities. Importantly, this role will focus on enabling channel-led expansion programs to drive commercial segment growth outcomes.
The role reports to the Partner & Ecosystems Marketing Director, JAPAC and plays a critical part in driving demand generation, partner enablement, and marketing alignment with sales and channel organizations.
This position is central to the execution of Palo Alto Networks’ commercial go-to-market (GTM) strategy in JAPAC. It works closely with cross-functional teams—including Sales, Channel, Marketing, and Operations—to strengthen partner performance, expand market presence, and contribute to pipeline growth across diverse geographies and customer segments.
Partner with sales and channel leadership to define the Commercial segment strategy, focus areas, and expected outcomes from marketing across JAPAC.
Develop annual and quarterly regional marketing plans that deliver measurable demand generation results aligned to pipeline, budget, and business goals.
Drive ownership and accountability across distributors and their managed partners to expand their Palo Alto Networks business through marketing programs and joint initiatives. Track proof of performance/impact through stringent campaign tracking practices.
Collaborate with regional sales managers, channel business managers, and distributors on go-to-market activities targeting business partners and, through them, end customers. Build and maintain program reporting infrastructure to ensure ROI is measure and insights are driving decision making.
Partner with channel enablement teams to build preference and advocacy within the partner ecosystem.
Design and implement regional tactical marketing programs in collaboration with Product Marketing, Global Campaigns, and Field Marketing peers.
Coordinate with the JAPAC Center of Excellence, and Inside Sales teams on partner-ready and commercial campaigns.
Support distributors and partners in the development and execution of co-marketing plans, integrated into their annual business plans.
Manage Distributor Development Funds (DDF) and Marketing Development Funds (MDF), ensuring effective allocation, execution, and performance tracking.
Establish and maintain processes for lead capture, routing, tracking, and reporting to ensure transparency and efficiency in partner-driven demand generation.
Define and monitor metrics, reporting, and analytics to assess program effectiveness and guide optimization.
Align closely with the Field Partner Marketing Team and commercial sales organization to ensure consistency in strategy and execution.
Provide clear communication of program status, action items, results, and deliverables across marketing and sales functions.
Qualifications
Your Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in field, channel, demand-generation, or campaign marketing, preferably within the cybersecurity or enterprise technology industry.
Demonstrated ability to plan, execute, and measure integrated marketing programs that deliver pipeline impact.
Strong cross-functional collaboration skills with experience working across sales, channel, and marketing teams in a regional or multi-market context.
Experience managing DDF and MDF programs, including financial tracking and ROI measurement.
Proficiency in Salesforce.com and/or Marketo for campaign execution, lead management, and reporting.
Excellent organizational, communication, and project management skills with strong attention to detail.
Strategic thinker with the ability to translate business objectives into actionable marketing programs.
Experience in event management and trade show execution, from strategy through post-event measurement.
Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, matrixed, and high-growth environment.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience required.
Experience with generative AI tools is highly desirable — leveraging AI to create, iterate, and optimize marketing content; enable hyper-personalization at scale through customer data insights; and automate workflows by integrating generative AI into existing marketing processes.
