Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Biochemistry Team Lead with at least 2 years of relevant laboratory experience to join our team. This role combines hands-on technical expertise with leadership responsibilities, supporting the characterization of early-stage biotherapeutics such as proteins, antibodies, peptides, and conjugates.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Duties

• Perform advanced physicochemical analyses using:
  • Analytical Size Exclusion Chromatography (aSEC)
  • Analytical Hydrophobic Interaction Chromatography (aHIC)
  • Capillary Gel Electrophoresis (CGE)
  • Imaged Capillary Electrophoresis (iCE/CE)
• Apply these methods to a broad range of biological molecules.
• Accurately record and interpret data in Electronic Laboratory Notebooks (ELNs).
• Collaborate with scientists and project teams to ensure high-quality results.

Leadership Duties

• Lead and support a team of laboratory professionals.
• Monitor team performance and ensure coverage for all shifts and duties.
• Participate in interviews and assist with onboarding new employees.
• Disseminate administrative communications and promote company vision.
• Ensure adherence to quality and efficiency standards in lab operations.
• Foster morale, teamwork, and professional growth within the team.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry or related field.
• Experience:
  • Minimum 2 years of hands-on lab experience in chromatography and/or capillary electrophoresis.
  • Preferred: Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to data integrity.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to balance technical responsibilities with leadership tasks.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without restriction or sponsorship.

Additional Information

The position is full-time, first shift, Monday through Friday, 8am-5pm. Candidates living within a commutable distance of Cambridge, MA, are encouraged to apply.
