Job Description
We are seeking a HPLC/LCMS Specialist to support analytical method development and data generation for product development. This role emphasizes hands-on expertise in chromatography and mass spectrometry, scientific rigor, and cross-functional collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, optimize, and implement robust HPLC, UPLC, and LC-MS methods to support product development and manufacturing.
- Independently generate and interpret analytical data to inform decision-making.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to transfer and validate analytical methods.
- Troubleshoot and maintain analytical instrumentation (e.g., Waters I-Class, Thermo Vanquish Flex).
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and laboratory best practices.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and scientific innovation.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- B.S. (3–4 years experience) or M.S. (1+ year experience) in Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related field.
- Strong hands-on experience with HPLC, UPLC, and LC-MS.
- Familiarity with analytical software (Empower, Xcalibur, BioPharma Finder).
- Working knowledge of chromatography techniques (IPRP, AEX/IEX, HILIC).
- Solid understanding of method validation parameters (e.g., linearity, precision, LOD/LOQ).
- Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with RNA or oligonucleotide analysis.
- Familiarity with additional techniques: FTIR, NMR, UV-Vis, KF, ICP, DSC, TGA, XRPD.
- Exposure to lean lab practices or 5S methodologies

Additional Details:
This is a full-time, onsite position based on a first-shift schedule (Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM), with overtime required as needed. Candidates located within a commutable distance to Boston, MA are strongly encouraged to apply.
