Job Description
We’re hiring a Lab Technician to support daily operations in our Analytical Sciences lab. This role ensures lab readiness and compliance through inventory management, equipment monitoring, and documentation support. You’ll work cross-functionally to maintain a safe and efficient lab space.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain lab supplies, reagents, and prepare media
- Safely handle compressed gases and cryogenic liquids
- Clean and monitor temperature units, fume hoods, and BSCs
- Track equipment maintenance and calibration using electronic systems
- Coordinate workflows across departments
- Manage lab notebooks and logbooks
- Support cleaning, organization, and labeling of lab spaces
- Participate in weekend/overtime schedules as needed
- Work in labs handling potent chemical compounds
Qualifications
- Associate degree (AS) in Life Sciences or equivalent
- Strong computer and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and attention to detail
- Ability to lift 25+ lbs., stand/walk for extended periods, and move equipment
- Familiarity with cGMP and electronic systems
- Self-motivated, adaptable, and team-oriented
- Authorized to work in the U.S. without restriction or sponsorship
Additional Information
The position is full-time, Tuesday through Saturday, with the hours of 8:00 am - 4:00 pm, with overtime as needed. Candidates living within a commutable distance of Rensselaer, New York are encouraged to apply.
Interview Process:
- 10–15 min phone screen with recruiter
- 45–60 min virtual interview with manager/group leader
