Job Description

We are seeking an Operations Specialist to provide essential operational support to the US Drug Metabolism and Pharmacokinetics team. This role plays a key part in ensuring smooth coordination across scientific teams, global sites, and external partners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for day-to-day operational support within the US DMPK Department.
  • Collaborate with on-site scientific teams, European colleagues, and external suppliers such as CROs to ensure timely and efficient processing of requests.
    • Includes: processing of requests, study planning, result integration, and resolving issues
  • Support the implementation of tools and processes that enhance team communication and operational efficiency.
  • Track training assignments and ensure compliance with internal requirements.
  • Execute a variety of operational tasks, including:
    • Shipping and receiving of samples
    • Setting up purchase orders, managing purchasing and invoicing, tracking spend, and assisting with budget documentation
    • Ensuring timely receipt and review of data and input into digital platforms
    • Drafting memos and non-scientific communications

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 2+ years of experience in operations support within the biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or CRO industries
  • Strong organizational and communication skills with a high attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without restriction or sponsorship

  • Experience managing projects in a global matrix/team environment
  • Ability to identify operational issues, assess risks, and contribute to resolution and mitigation strategies
  • Skilled at managing multiple priorities and building strong cross-functional relationships
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment
  • Collaborative mindset with a willingness to share knowledge and best practices
  • Quick to learn new systems and processes, with a focus on continuous improvement
  • Comfortable working under tight timelines and in evolving organizational environments
  • Foundational knowledge of data structures

Additional Details:

This is a full-time, onsite position based on a first-shift schedule (Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM), with overtime required as needed. Candidates located within a commutable distance to Cambridge, MA are strongly encouraged to apply.
