Job Description

We’re looking for a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Raw Materials Lab Technician. In this hands-on role, you’ll work in a cleanroom environment, assist with testing and sampling, and help ensure our high-quality standards are met. If you enjoy working with a team, solving problems, and learning new skills in a fast-paced lab setting, this could be the perfect fit!

Responsibilities Include:

• Working in a cleanroom environment to carefully dispense raw materials and inspect containers
• Receiving and handling samples, ensuring they're properly disposed of when needed
• Calibrating instruments and checking their accuracy before use to ensure everything runs smoothly
• Keeping detailed records of test results and letting the team know right away if anything seems off
• Keeping the lab stocked with supplies and maintaining a clean, organized workspace
• Providing excellent service to our clients with a friendly, professional attitude
• Participating in ongoing training to keep your skills sharp and stay up to date on best practices
• Following all regulatory guidelines and procedures to ensure a safe and compliant lab environment
• Taking part in cross-training opportunities, including testing compressed gas systems and tankers

This position is an indoor lab-based position working in biopharmaceutical manufacturing cleanrooms and lab spaces. Position requires significant time spent in ISO 8 cleanrooms with the following restrictions:

• No cosmetic products or applications (such as makeup, false lashes, spray tans, tinted moisturizer, etc) are permitted and must be removed before entry
• Nails must be kept short, trimmed, and unadorned (no nail polish, rhinestones, etc)
• No jewelry may be worn (exceptions are medical alert-related and one smooth ring band that can be easily covered by a glove)
• Hair must be able to be neatly tied back and contained in a hairnet, and all facial hair must be neatly trimmed and able to be secured in a beard cover.

Qualifications

What You’ll Need:

• A bachelor’s degree in chemistry or a related science field, or equivalent hands-on experience
• Authorization to work in the U.S. without the need for sponsorship

• Previous experience in GMP, biopharma, or a related industry is a big plus

Additional Details:

The work schedule will be full time, second shift Monday through Friday, 12:00 pm-8:30 pm, with overtime as needed. Candidates living within a commutable distance of Rensselaer, New York are encouraged to apply.
