GENERAL FUNCTION

The RLB Commercialization team works with the Executive Team, Franchise partners, category COE and other key stakeholders across EssilorLuxottica to build commercialization strategies for the Pearle Vision Franchise business. The Manager of Commercialization will be responsible for developing category roadmaps, defining product strategies, and executing the roll-out of these strategies. This is a highly cross-functional role, partnering with field leaders, store operations, marketing and finance to drive product adoption, sell-in and sell-through. The ideal candidate is someone with great intellectual curiosity and who thrives in ambiguous cross-functional situations.

MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. The Manager of Product Strategy & Commercialization will be responsible for all wholesale and commercial strategy; with three specific areas of focus; Design, Execution and Run the Business.
  2. Design – Wholesale Strategy:
      • Develop the category and services portfolio and roadmap by creating business cases and taking into account pricing and margin considerations
      • Responsible for Wholesale growth for the Pearle Vision Brand; develop strategies to optimize sell-in and also executing sell-out
      • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create marketing assets, sales tools and training materials for both field and franchisees
  1. Execution – Wholesale Plans:
      • Supports the creation of product briefs and story-telling to drive adoption; communicate these product stories to cross-functional partners and regional field teams
      • Defines project plans and leads cross functional teams to implement current and new initiatives.
      • Supports the operations team for new product launches by providing price lists, business cases and training materials to encourage adoption
      • Liaises with systems team to ensure POS and Operating systems are setup appropriately for new product launches
  1. Run the Business - Manage Wholesale Plans
      • Develops in-depth analysis around business performance: product performance, gap closing plans, sales and forecasting etc.
      • Gather insights and competitive intelligence from field partners and market trends
      • Leads quarterly business deep dives with senior management, identifies improvement opportunities and develops new initiatives
      • Hold sales meetings and field visits to communicate product stories and consolidate feedback

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent experience)
  • 7+ years in a business development or sales-oriented role; consulting or category management
  • Experience managing a P&L
  • Solution oriented mindset with ability to think critically, challenge the status quo, understand root causes and develop strategic frameworks
  • Ability to create strong story-telling in order to build consensus and buy-in
  • Proficient at analyzing large quantity of data
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Fast learner who is proactive and curious by nature
  • Experience in running multiple complex cross-functional projects independently and simultaneously
  • Effectively navigates the organization, leveraging credibility to influence
  • Strong work ethic

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master degree in business/highly analytical field or MBA preferred
  • Retail, wholesale and sales experience
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment

Pay Range: 94,795.80 - 150,727.80

Employee pay is determined by multiple factors, including geography, experience, qualifications, skills and local minimum wage requirements.
