GENERAL FUNCTION

The Safety Eyewear Account Manager is responsible for managing and nurturing relationships with existing clients. This role will act as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing their needs, resolving issues and driving customer renewals. Collaboration with internal Safety Eyewear teams, as well as cross-functional teams is key to provide white glove service to our customers.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Serve as the main point of contact for assigned customers.
  • Onboarding
    • Partner with dedicated Sales Representative for a smooth white glove handoff after a prospective customer signs program application/contract.
    • Oversee new customer setup internally
    • Work with new customer to roll program out to their employees, including customized communication materials etc.
    • Partner with internal teams to identify and request new ECP (Eye Care Provider) participation when need is identified; support provider service issues.
  • Retention & Growth
    • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with customers by understanding their needs, providing solutions and delivering exceptional service.
    • Utilize existing customer information to pitch conversion to SightProtect program if suitable and then convert account.
    • Identify expansion opportunities in existing customers: new locations, new departments, etc.
    • Manage contract renewal process; partner with Legal on terms and conditions inquiries.
  • Partner with relevant teams to update Safety programs, pricing and electronic systems.
  • Handle compliance/data breach issues, e.g. client uploads to wrong group
  • Work with third party contractor for onsite optician needs, schedules, program setup, etc.
  • Supervise assigned Account Coordinator(s) to support day-to-day customer inquiries that need internal coordination (i.e. partnering with Customer Service or Credits teams).
  • Maintain a deep understanding of safety eyewear product offerings, including features, benefits and industry standards.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing or related field.
  • 5 years of account management or similar experience.
  • Optical or healthcare experience.
  • Customer-centric mindset and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to problem-solve and maintain a strong attention to detail.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with CRM platforms.
  • Safety eyewear experience preferred.
