GENERAL FUNCTION

Reporting to the National Director, Member Development, the Director, Member Development functions as a key sales representative for the Vision Source alliance. This role is responsible for the growth and development of Vision Source membership through prospecting, acquiring new members and maximizing the value of their Vision Source membership through engagement. The Director, Member Development will collaborate with Vision Source administrators and members, and success will be measured by new office memberships, retention and member engagement.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Grow membership through new office additions and current member retention; Complete member engagements and prospect meetings each month based on the region’s member/ prospect composition
  • Establish and maintain prospect target lists with each Administrator
  • Demonstrate the value of Vision Source membership
  • Onboard new members to ensure an effective transition
  • Coordinate access to Vision Source tools, resources and programs for greater profitability opportunities
  • Advocate for members and engage with appropriate teams to meet each member’s needs
  • Cross train with Member Services, Vendor Relations, Marketing and other resources in the Member Support Center
  • Document all CRM activities
  • Establish productive relationships with area vendor representatives
  • Communicate and deliver feedback to other Vision Source teams as needed
  • Develop strong relationships with Vision Source Administrators and Facilitators
  • Assist members with engaging in Elite Vendor Programs and Vision Source programs/ initiatives

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5-7 years business or management experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining a sense of team camaraderie
  • Microsoft Office proficiency
  • Experience working with a CRM platform
  • Willingness to become an expert in optometric products, services, medical equipment and procedures
  • Ability to travel 50-70% of the time

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Eyecare industry experience
  • Leadership and managerial experience

Pay Range: 84,110.41 - 139,909.00

Employee pay is determined by multiple factors, including geography, experience, qualifications, skills and local minimum wage requirements. In addition, you may also be offered a competitive bonus and/or commission plan, which complements a first-class total rewards package. Benefits may include health care, retirement savings, paid time off/vacation, and various employee discounts.
