GENERAL FUNCTION
Produces results through a consistent, superior patient experience in a multi-unit environment. Provides primarily on-site leadership and mentoring to drive both topline and profitability growth. Delivers key performance metrics and ensures flawless implementation of Vision Associates’ Dispensary Management program. Typical scope of leadership includes revenues up to $5M and locations within a 2-hour geographic area.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop teams to achieve goals and foster execution of best practices for growth of business and productive inspiring cultures.
- Develop and maintain the Vision Associates business relationship with clients to achieve mutual goals while managing all facets of dispensary operations.
- Positively and professionally interact with all business partners and staff
- Inspire team building through individual development plans to promote an environment of personal growth and accountability while leading through effective performance management to ensure goals are consistently being met or exceeded.
- Work proactively and collaboratively with practices to ensure Vision Associates’ value
- Establish high standards of performance and operational excellence in accordance with Vision Associates policies and procedures.
- Network, recruit and hire high caliber talent to ensure positions are filled timely for improved results and succession planning effectiveness.
- Analyze the business, develop strategies, create and deliver clear action plans that optimize results.
- Lead and drive quality and improvement in the market to deliver on all key performance indicators and initiatives.
- Manage profits and expenses while ensuring proper usage of company funds.
- Direct and approve workforce management activities according to brand policies, including labor and operational initiatives.
- Manage operational execution and be the expert on best practices of sales techniques, products and patient care. Facilitate training for reports and practice partners.
- Ensure the protection of all company assets, policies and practices are followed consistently.
- Inspire team growth through individual development plans to promote an environment of personal growth, accountability and engagement.
- Ensure all Company approved safety programs are implemented and maintained.
- Work collaboratively with internal and external teams to ensure implementation of goals and directives.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- High School graduate or equivalent
- Previous experience in a leadership position within private practice or retail optical
- ABO Certification or Licensed Optician
- Proven track record of delivering positive results and growth
- Excellent business and financial acumen including operational analysis
- Comprehensive knowledge of optical dispensary operations, processes and policies including sales and profit, patient and customer service, training, inventory management, visual merchandising and POS systems
- Working knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office
- Effective communication skills (verbal, written, presentation, listening)
- Strong basic math skills
- Ability to travel up to 80%; ability to work weekends and evenings as needed during times of high business needs
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- College degree or equivalent.
- 2+ years multi-unit or successful single-unit optical dispensary leadership experience in high volume environment.
Employee pay is determined by multiple factors, including geography, experience, qualifications, skills and local minimum wage requirements.
