Your role

We are looking for a highly skilled Financial Controller that would oversee all financial operations of the lens production facility, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and efficiency across reporting, budgeting, and analysis. Acting as a strategic partner, the Financial Controller supports cross-functional teams, facilitates external audits, and manages responses to global finance requests.

As a Financial Controller, you would be responsible for the financial oversight of the lens production facility, with a strong focus on cost control, stock and asset management, reporting, and compliance. This role ensures accurate month-end closing, budget planning, intercompany reporting, and operational cost analysis while supporting various cross-functional teams, external audits, and global finance requests.

Main responsibilities:

    • Financial Reporting & Month-End Closing: Prepare and close monthly financial statements, including trial balance reviews, P&L and balance sheets, exchange rate calculations, forecasts, and reconciliations. Ensure timely reporting via ERP systems and maintain documentation.
    • Product Costing & Profitability: Update cost of sales reports, product costing, and cost center reconciliations. Analyze cost trends, product mix, and contribution margins. Track CAPEX and OPEX.
    • Inventory, Stock & Asset Management: Manage inventory files, ensure accurate valuation and provisions, update employee inventory records, and support monthly cash reconciliations.
    • Intercompany & Group Reporting: Follow up closely ICO reconciliations and FX exposure reporting with external provider and respond to external financial requests.
    • Budgeting, Forecasting & Analysis: Support annual and rolling forecasts, monitor budget variances, manage sales and cost mapping, OPEX tracking, rental cost bookings, transfer pricing, and hedging data. Implement monthly P&L monitoring by customer.
    • Operational Reporting & Business Support: Provide marketing and campaign analyses, and review payment reports in different currencies.
    • Compliance, Audit & Documentation: Maintain audit-ready documentation, coordinate closing instructions, and ensure compliance with audit requirements and contract reviews.

Main requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master’s in Finance, Accounting, or Economics
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in controlling, cost accounting, or plant finance in a manufacturing environment
  • English skills - advanced level;
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (CARS, SAP, Oracle, Tango, Anaplan, etc.)
  • Very good skills on Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word)
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines
