GENERAL FUNCTION
The Senior Manager, Segment Performance and Innovation will define and implement frameworks to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) by business segment (Commercial, Medicare, Medicaid) across operational functions. The role will leverage advanced analytics and technology capabilities to continuously identify opportunities to optimize segment performance, then scope, organize, and direct initiatives that drive improvements across operational functions. Additionally, this position will establish and implement governance frameworks to regularly and consistently share performance insights across the organization.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and implement frameworks to effectively monitor and manage operational KPIs and service level agreements (SLAs) across operational functions including implementation, eligibility, claims processing, payments, provider credentialing, and electronic data interchange (EDI).
- Leverage advanced analytics and technology capabilities to create data-driven dashboards, enabling timely visibility into operational KPIs through consistent data acquisition and presentation approaches.
- Regularly perform detailed operational performance analyses in partnership with operational function owners to identify opportunities for improvement, mitigate risks, and ensure consistent operational effectiveness across segments.
- Lead targeted performance improvement initiatives, in collaboration with operational function owners, aimed at enhancing accuracy, timeliness, and overall customer satisfaction.
- Establish and lead strategic governance forums focused on operational performance, ensuring clear alignment with organizational goals and facilitating informed, effective decision-making.
- Continuously research, evaluate, and incorporate industry best practices and emerging technologies to ensure the organization maintains operational excellence and innovative solutions.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in business and/or Information Systems or equivalent work experience
- 8+ years business experience
- Experience managing and monitoring operational and financial performance
- Experience planning and managing initiatives with process and technology workstreams
- Experience analyzing data to identify performance improvement opportunities
- Experience developing executive level presentations
- Strong written and oral communication skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- MBA
- Experience with large management consulting firms
