Vice President of Business Development
What we are asking you to do!
- Track and be accountable for overall team productivity: Continuously monitor and optimize the productivity of our business development department, from Senior Business Development Managers down to BDRs. Establish clear performance metrics and KPIs, ensuring they are consistently met or exceeded at all levels.
- Help recruit, onboard, and build top-performing teams: Collaborate with HR to identify and recruit top-tier talent at all levels of the business development hierarchy. Lead the onboarding process, cultivating teams that embody our values and drive for success.
- Coach, support, and train your team in sales methodologies: Act as a mentor, providing guidance, support, and training to the entire department to enhance their cold calling and introduction meeting generation processes. Develop and implement advanced sales methodologies tailored for business development.
- Work with your team & enablement to identify new opportunities and develop targeted sales pitches: Partner with your department and the enablement team to spot emerging opportunities within the SaaS market. Craft targeted sales pitches and strategies that resonate with our target audience.
- Inspire, lead, and create a positive and high-performance culture and sales environment: Cultivate a culture of positivity, high performance, and collaboration throughout your department. Serve as an inspiring leader who sets the example for excellence and fosters an environment where team members thrive at all levels.
- Own your department's metrics & performance: Take complete ownership of the entire business development department's metrics and performance indicators, ensuring that data is meticulously recorded in Salesforce or relevant systems and reported to senior management as required.
What we are asking you to bring!
- 10+ years' experience with a proven track record of success in a leadership role within a multi-tiered business development structure, particularly in cold calling and introduction meeting generation.
- Demonstrated ability to consistently achieve and surpass revenue targets and growth objectives across different levels of the business development hierarchy.
- Exceptional leadership skills, with a talent for coaching and managing high-performing teams at various levels.
- Profound understanding of advanced business development methodologies, cold calling techniques, and introduction meeting strategies.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in using CRM tools such as Salesforce or similar systems.
- A results-driven mindset and an aptitude for adapting to the evolving dynamics of a hypergrowth environment.
