The Crown Is Yours
As a Senior Infrastructure Engineer, you’ll design, build, and operate the infrastructure that powers every DraftKings product. This role sits at the intersection of performance, reliability, and velocity. You’ll craft Infrastructure as Code, drive observability, and create self-service platforms that help teams move fast and deliver reliably. Your work won’t just support scale—it will define how we achieve it.
What You'll Do
Design and maintain cloud and on-prem infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform and Chef.
Build observability into everything—driving monitoring, alerting, and logging strategies that support application SLOs and overall system reliability.
Develop deployment platforms and internal tooling that empower teams to move fast while maintaining governance and operational excellence.
Define and standardize infrastructure patterns, deployment strategies, and configuration best practices across a high-growth engineering org.
Lead by example—mentor junior engineers, shape infrastructure standards, and influence cross-functional technical decisions.
Participate in an on-call rotation and lead incident response, including root cause analysis and long-term remediation strategies.
Partner with security, networking, and application teams to ensure reliability across the full stack—from code to customer.
What You'll Bring
5+ years of experience designing, building, and operating production infrastructure across cloud and on-prem environments.
Expertise in Infrastructure as Code and configuration management using tools like Terraform and Chef.
Strong coding skills in Python, Go, Ruby, or similar, with experience supporting applications in object-oriented languages.
Deep understanding of distributed systems, containerization, and Kubernetes operations (e.g., EKS, Rancher).
Solid grasp of networking and web technologies, including DNS, CDN, and packet-level debugging.
Familiarity with messaging and streaming platforms such as Kafka and RabbitMQ.
A collaborative, action-oriented mindset with a passion for scalability, reliability, and continuous improvement.
