We’re looking for a Sr. Technical Ad Ops Manager – Tagging Implementation to join our Ad Measurement team, focused on agency- and brand-side advertising operations. This is a client-facing role with a heavy emphasis on technical project management, owning tagging implementations from kickoff through validation and launch.
This role partners closely with Technical Project Managers (TPMs), internal stakeholders, and external agency and brand Ad Operations teams to ensure accurate, scalable, and timely tagging implementations that enable high-quality campaign measurement.
What you'll do:
- Lead tagging kickoff calls (KOCs) with agency and brand stakeholders, setting clear expectations around tagging requirements, timelines, platform dependencies, QA processes, and success criteria.
- Serve as the primary client-facing technical owner for tagging implementations, from initial requirements gathering through campaign launch.
- Own end-to-end tagging project management, including timelines, dependencies, documentation, and cross-functional coordination.
- Partner with agency and brand Ad Ops teams to support tag implementation and validation across ad servers, DSPs, and third-party platforms.
- Oversee pixel and tag implementation, including both image-based and JavaScript-based pixels, ensuring proper firing, data collection, and attribution.
- Conduct thorough QA and validation, including test traffics, pixel firing checks, and data verification across platforms.
- Perform discrepancy checks and root-cause analysis, reconciling differences across ad servers, DSPs, publishers, and third-party measurement partners related to tagging and tracking.
- Maintain detailed documentation for tagging instructions, implementation status, QA results, and next steps, ensuring transparency for internal teams and clients.
- Proactively identify tagging risks, gaps, or implementation issues and escalate with clear recommendations and urgency.
- Educate clients and agency partners on tagging best practices, platform-specific requirements, and troubleshooting guidance to improve implementation success.
- Mentor junior team members on tagging best practices, technical troubleshooting, and client communication.
- Contribute to the standardization and documentation of tagging workflows, enabling scale and operational efficiency across the ad measurement organization.
What we're looking for:
- 5+ years of hands-on Ad Operations experience, specifically focused on agency or brand-side tagging and measurement implementations (not publisher-side trafficking).
- Extensive experience working directly with media agencies and brand Ad Ops teams to execute advertiser-side tagging requirements.
- Advanced proficiency with ad servers and creative platforms, including Campaign Manager 360 (CM360), Innovid, Flashtalking, Google Ad Manager (GAM), and FreeWheel, from a tagging and tracking perspective.
- Strong experience supporting programmatic platforms and DSPs, such as The Trade Desk, DV360, MediaMath, with a focus on tagging workflows and validation.
- Deep technical expertise in image-based and JavaScript-based pixel implementation, including setup, QA, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
- Proven experience running tagging-related discrepancy investigations, identifying root causes and driving resolution across partners.
- Demonstrated project management strength, with the ability to manage multiple concurrent tagging implementations and client timelines.
- Strong client-facing communication skills, with the ability to translate technical tagging requirements into clear, actionable guidance for non-technical stakeholders.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable operating autonomously in a fast-paced environment.
