Job Description
The ideal candidate for this role must be able to work during Eastern Time business hours. Proximity to our Waltham, MA headquarters and the ability to occasionally work on-site is a plus, but not required.
A bit about this role:
At Devoted, The Member Experience and Engagement (MXE) team, is responsible for designing a service experience that makes members trust and love Devoted. We research, test, and refine every touchpoint — from letters and SMS to phone calls and digital experiences — to ensure it’s consistent, caring, and coordinated.
As a Member Content Strategy and Operations Manager, you’ll join our team to help plan, develop, and deliver communications that connect members to care — driving participation in clinical programs, closing gaps, and improving outcomes. You’ll partner closely with our medical group and clinical operations to turn program goals into effective, action-oriented campaigns, guided by data, plain language, and behavior change principles. We're looking for a collaborative, action-oriented communicator to drive clarity and momentum across our clinical member engagement campaigns. Reporting to the Associate Director of Content Strategy & Operations, and working with our Lead Service Designer, you’ll be a hands-on contributor who manages projects, writes clearly, and moves work forward across channels.
This is a cross-functional role at the heart of our strategy — sitting at the intersection of health communication, member experience, service operations, and clinical engagement. You’ll juggle multiple member-facing content projects and be a go-to team member for skillful, nimble execution.
Responsibilities and Impact will include:
Manage and execute member-facing communications that support clinical outreach, quality measures, and digital engagement
Intake, scope, and prioritize new communications and content requests
Collaborate with stakeholders across clinical, operations, and product to plan and coordinate communication needs
Design messages that are timely, accessible, and action-oriented — guided by behavior change and health literacy principles
Use digital channels like SMS, email, web, and portal to engage members — and help identify opportunities to improve how we reach people
Use data to track and report on campaign performance in partnership with analysts and other teams
Manage timelines, intake, review processes, and workflows in Monday.com
Help maintain libraries of approved content, toolkits, and documentation to support consistency in health education
Support compliance and translation processes to ensure accuracy and accessibility
Required skills and experience:
3 to 5 years of experience in content strategy, communications, or engagement marketing — preferably in healthcare, public health, or a regulated environment
Strong bias for action — not afraid to say the wrong thing or make mistakes
Strong writing and editing skills — able to simplify complex information with empathy and clarity
Experience managing communications across multiple stakeholders and channels
Comfortable using campaign data and performance results to inform decisions and iterate
Familiarity with SMS, email, and digital member communication tools
Salary Range: $90,000 - $120,000 / year
