The Team

As part of Datadog’s GTM Enablement department, the Technical Solutions (TS) Enablement team shares knowledge, delivers ongoing education, and creates scalable learning experiences for our internal technical product experts—including Sales Engineers, Support Engineers, Technical Enablement Managers, and Technical Account Managers. The TS Field Enablement team specifically leads live enablement experiences that drive technical proficiency, customer impact, and consistent execution across our global technical teams.

The Opportunity

Datadog is scaling rapidly, and with that growth comes increasing demand for high-quality live training that supports onboarding, skill development, and product education. As the Manager of Technical Solutions Field Enablement, you will lead a team of Field Enablement Managers responsible for delivering engaging, high-impact live enablement experiences—while also continuing to facilitate training sessions yourself.

This is a player-coach role: you’ll balance managing and developing a team with directly delivering live training for our Technical Solutions audiences. You’ll collaborate closely with Enablement, Product, and TS leadership to align programming with business goals and ensure consistent instructional quality across global teams.

At Datadog, we place value in our office culture - the relationships and collaboration it builds and the creativity it brings to the table. We operate as a hybrid workplace to ensure our Datadogs can create a work-life harmony that best fits them.

What You’ll Do

  • Manage and develop a team of Technical Solutions Field Enablement Managers, providing mentorship, support, and guidance as they deliver onboarding and ongoing training
  • Design and facilitate live technical enablement sessions—virtually and in person—for internal technical teams including Sales Engineers, Support Engineers, and Technical Account Managers
  • Oversee the planning and execution of regional and global workshops, onboarding programs, and ad hoc training requests
  • Collaborate with Curriculum and Program Management teams to co-create, pilot, and scale new training programs
  • Build strong partnerships with TS leadership to identify skill gaps, gather feedback, and prioritize training needs
  • Define and track metrics for live programs to ensure they are driving meaningful impact on learner performance and business outcomes
  • Foster a consistent, high-quality learning environment that supports both team and individual success
  • Contribute to team hiring, onboarding, and performance management, while promoting an inclusive and collaborative culture

Who You Are

  • 5–7+ years of experience in technical enablement, training, or learning and development, with at least 1–2 years of experience managing or mentoring others
  • Comfortable delivering live technical training in both virtual and in-person formats, with strong facilitation and classroom management skills
  • Skilled in coaching other trainers and building a consistent learner experience across a global team
  • Experienced working with technical audiences (e.g. SEs, Support Engineers, TAMs) in a SaaS, cloud, or DevOps environment
  • Able to translate complex technical topics into accessible, engaging training sessions
  • Confident in your use of tools and platforms like Google Workspace, Zoom, and learning management systems
  • Proficient with AWS, Azure, or GCP, with an understanding of modern observability and DevOps practices
  • Based in New York City and able to work in a hybrid in-office/remote model

Bonus Points

  • Experience in field enablement, onboarding, or coaching for technical customer-facing roles
  • Background in adult learning theory or instructional design
  • Experience leading global enablement initiatives or scaling live training teams
  • Familiarity with the unique needs of fast-paced SaaS or high-growth technology environments
