The Network Performance Monitoring team allows our customers to understand how traffic is flowing across their infrastructure. The team owns the backend systems responsible for enriching and aggregating network data on the order of terabytes per day, as well as an eBPF based agent which collects network telemetry from customer hosts. We’re looking for an Engineering Manager to lead this team.

What You’ll Do:

• Manage a growing team of 5 engineers, including giving appropriate mentorship and coaching to help them grow.
• Be technically involved with the team - reviewing architecture decisions or RFCs to make sure the team is making sound decisions and good processes are in place. Share on-call responsibilities with rest of the team and ensure a culture of operational excellence
• Work with our product team to understand customer needs and refine/define our roadmap.
• Run a lightweight agile process to pace and track what we work on and deliver high quality work in a timely manner.
  
  

Who You Are:

• Familiarity with Golang and Kubernetes
• Strong experience with backend development
• Experience building and operating streaming distributed systems
• Empathy, collaboration, and communication
• Bonus: Familiarity with eBPF and/or modern Linux networking

The reasonably estimated salary for this role at Datadog ranges from $187,000 to $240,000, plus a competitive equity package, and may include variable compensation. Actual compensation is based on factors such as the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience.
