At Danone, Manufacturing the best products and supplying them to meet demand is a key driver for our plant teams. We are currently looking to hire a Logistics Administrator based in West Jordan, UT!
As a Logistics Administrator, you will be building and maintaining daily deployment schedules including backfilling loads. The Logistics Administrator managers appointment times in UberFreight TMS for inbound and outbound lods and has daily communication with Deployment and Transportation teams. This is a night-shift position dedicated to supporting plant operations during overnight hours.
Key Responsibilities
As a key member of our team, you will play an important role in driving our mission forward. The following responsibilities outline the core expectations and contributions for this position:
- Build and maintain daily deployment and shuttle schedule using the Warehouse Management Systems: SAP, Tekdan, BluJay, Uber Freight TMS
- Work with Tekterm/SAP to manage inventory control
- Manage appointment times in Uber Freight TMS for inbound and outbound loads
- Daily communication with Deployment and Transportation teams
- Create and release waves of Automated Storage Retrieval System picking orders to ensure loads are ready for carrier appointment
- Manage priority loads as assigned by deployment team with carrier inbound appointments through effective communication between transportation, deployment and customer service teams
- Maintain quality of receipt, Bill of Lading, ship and inventory transactions.
- Manage disposition of destroy product both systematically and physically
- Work with Zero Waste team on markdown orders
- Organize and file BOL’s, and all appropriate paperwork
- Ensure pacing and detention is being analyzed
- Analyze utilization and implement improvements
- Provide training for department employees
- Manage and maintain Standard Operating Procedures
- Provide coverage during coworker time off requests
- Work on continuous improvement opportunities for role
- Manage monthly employee giveaways
- Contribute on Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, Mobilization & Nature daily/weekly/monthly/yearly goals and objectives through individual and team efforts
- Publish and track daily operational metrics such as warehouse utilization, status of current and prior day shipments, on hand trailers, etc.
- Maintain quality contact with Northstar to ensure proper waste disposal and scheduling
- Work and train in crane operations and safety measurements to ensure proper procedures are followed
- Other duties as assigned
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel or crouch; talk and hear. Occasionally climb stepladders, stools, and multiple level stairs inside our automated storage system up to 10 levels high while wearing the required fall protection equipment. The employee will lift and/or move up to 60 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment
Work is performed in a manufacturing environment with exposure to moderate noise and temperature variations. Occasional work at heights required. Work schedules could include nights, weekends and/or holidays to provide the ability to support a 24/7 manufacturing environment as business needs dictate. PPE required; safety-first culture.
