Senior Manager of Farm Risk Management

The Senior Manager of Farm Risk Management has the overall responsibility of managing farm relations on market risk and intelligence. This role will be within the Milk and Plant Based Team working inter-functionally with the Producer Relationship Managers (PRM) Team, Regenerative Agriculture Team and the Plant Based Sourcing Team. This role is located in Broomfield, CO/White Plains.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Become the main contact of farms on market intelligence and risk management areas.
- Conduct monthly market outlook calls with farms to update on latest dairy and feed market developments.
- Collect and consolidate farm inputs on dairy and feed markets, and support development of Danone North America risk management strategies.
- Support building a new dashboard for farm network with new farm financial/operational KPI performance.
- Help to analyze farm data based on new KPIs to identify trends/insights in improving farm performance and support strategy building.
- Maintain track records of farm data for annual performance reports.
- Support building a feed hedging program for Cost-Plus Dairy Farms.
- Oversight accuracy of Cost-Plus Dairy Farms feed inputs file and maintain up to date feed data.
- Conduct feed analysis to support Cost-Plus Dairy Farms productivity forecast.
- Oversight sustainability finance projects for farms
- Collaborate with Regenerative Agriculture team to identify sustainability finance projects.
- Liaise with farms on implementation of loan offers/bridge funding.
- Support PB team on market intelligence and risk management.
- Support development of hedge policies for almond, soy and coffee.
- Conduct statistical analysis of historical pricing for Plant Based commodities to support Category Managers.
The salary range for this position is $109,000 – $155,000 USD. The exact salary offered will depend on several factors, including the candidate’s relevant experience, geographic location, internal equity, and market conditions.
