Danone North America is looking to hire a Warehouse Operator based in Portland, Oregon where we manufacturing frozen yogurt and ice cream!

**Sign on bonus: $1000 paid in 2 installments ($500 at 90 days and $500 at 6 months)**

  • Starting wage of $24 per hour
    • Shift differential: $0.50/hr from 3:30 pm - 4:30 am
    • Freezer Pay Premium: $0.50/hr when assigned to work in the freezer for at least half their shift
  • Swing Shift: 3 pm - 1:30 am (Monday - Thursday with OT Friday's as needed) or 2 pm - 10:30 pm on 5x8's (Monday - Friday))
  • Pay for Performance: incentive bonus annually

In this role, you will support the manufacturing plant by primarily functioning in the warehouse areas of the manufacturing plant in either the dry materials warehouse or in a refrigerated warehouse transporting the finished palletized product to freezers/trailers.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Operate powered industrial trucks (i.e. forklifts) to:
    • Pull ingredients and packaging from stock on hand for use in batching
    • Receive and process raw and finished product transfer between warehouse locations
    • Pick and load orders for multiple warehouse locations
    • Stage and ship finished product for blast freezing at off site freezers
    • Unload and load trailers as needed
    • Put away finished product in onsite freezers
    • Pull and ship orders from our onsite stock
  • Unpack, examine, and route incoming shipments, reject damaged items, record shortages, and correspond with shipper/ driver, to rectify damages and shortages. Able to receive and process defective parts/ materials for replacement or credit
  • Maintain inventory of shipping materials
  • Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean, orderly condition, and follow prescribed safety and quality regulations
