Director, Enterprise Strategy

The Director of Enterprise Strategy is an experienced leader that will play a crucial role in helping define and execute Danone North America’s long-term growth agenda. This role is part of the Enterprise Innovation, Strategy & Planning team. This role reports into the VP, Enterprise Strategy. As part of the Enterprise Strategy team, this Director will:
- Bring fresh ideas and disruptive thinking to ensure Danone stays ahead of competition by developing actionable solutions for the most pressing issues facing the organization
- Help drive the enterprise strategy including development and portfolio shaping, engaging colleagues across North America and the globe
- In close partnership with business unit and functional teams, help support key projects and initiatives supporting the growth agenda with strategic, hands-on thought leadership
- Have frequent exposure to senior management and be responsible for leading high-impact projects
Strategy Development
- Work across the organization and levels, including within the Enterprise Innovation, Strategy & Planning team, to identify, evaluate and propose solutions to emerging consumer and industry trends, competitive threats and internal business performance improvement opportunities
- Scope, manage and execute key strategic projects (both independent analyses and large, complex efforts), including fact-based analysis, critical problem solving, financial model development and scenario planning, presentation of findings to all levels of management
Strategic Planning
- Partner with stakeholders across the organization to set the corporate strategic road map, support the three-year strategic planning and annual planning processes, and integrate all functional areas to define a single agenda with common priorities
Inorganic growth
- Shape and manage Noram M&A strategy, actively developing and managing target pipeline in partnership with global M&A and business development teams
- Lead end-to end due diligence of potential acquisitions- including strategy alignment, business model development, stakeholder alignment, transaction documentation and cross-functional leadership
Leadership support and thought partnership
- Answer key questions, support data requests and provide presentation support to the NA Leadership team, Global Strategy team, Investor Relations team, and other corporate functions
- Act as thought partner with company leaders across all functional areas

- Business Acumen: Strong business acumen and strategic mindset, with an ability to think across a broad system with an enterprise mindset, refine questions, and develop analytical frameworks
- Market Analysis: Broad knowledge and understanding of global markets and relevant industries to develop effective strategies and identify potential opportunities
- Strategic Thinking: Develop, frame and problem solve to shape strategic direction, prompting enterprise-wide choices and decision making; Strong leadership experience leading complex strategy & change initiatives at a top consulting firm or within CPG
- Leadership Amongst Senior Executives: Drive agenda to align with organizational objectives. Lead and influence effectively, across all levels and to build cross-functional relationships.
- Adaptability: Thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic business environment and bring structure and action to ambiguity
- Effective Communication: Deliver impactful narratives (written and verbal) that engage, persuade, and inspire action, use tailored messages, data-driven insights, and clear implications to drive informed decisions.
- Program Management Experience: Lead complex projects at top consulting firms or within CPG, including start-to-finish ownership (defining a problem statement, framing solutions, developing workplans, managing cross-functional teams and large scale projects with senior leaders).
- Self-Directed and Motivated Doer: Stays organized and driven to ensure progress of own & team’s work from end to end with strong project management skills.
