The Export and Investment Fund of Denmark (EIFO) is looking for a driven and adaptable Investment Manager to join our dynamic Fund Investments team. The Fund Investments team plays an important role in realizing EIFO’s strategic vision. With 12 dedicated professionals, we invest in domestic and international venture capital funds with a dual mandate of achieving attractive financial returns while fostering innovation and growth. We are looking for a motivated Investment Manager to join us and help drive these exciting initiatives forward and to implement the investment strategy.
The Role
As an Investment Manager at EIFO, you will report to the Head of Fund Investments. You will play a key role in identifying and executing investment opportunities, managing the existing portfolio, working independently and with the team to execute initiatives that contribute to Denmark’s innovation and economic growth. You will also collaborate closely with colleagues across EIFO and engage with both domestic and international business partners in a hands-on, solution-oriented manner.
You will be responsible for:
- Leading high-impact investment projects from idea to full implementation.
- Supporting the development of younger colleagues.
- Supporting the broader team on major investment projects.
- Supporting the team in developing and implementing investment processes, frameworks, and standards.
- Collaborating with venture capital funds, corporates, ministries, and other partners to build scalable investment platforms.
- Taking an active role in presenting EIFO’s vision with key stakeholders, both locally and internationally.
- Contributing to the overall development and execution of EIFO’s investment strategy, with special emphasis on life science investments.
Who You Are
We are looking for an investment professional who is adaptable, hands-on, and keen to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
The ideal candidate will have:
- A relevant education in economics, finance, or business, and a master’s degree is an advantage.
- A CAIA or CFA is an advantage but not necessary.
- Several years of experience with venture capital with special emphasis on fund selection.
- Preferably experience in Life Science investments.
- Solid analytical skills and a high level of attention to detail.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle a wide range of investment-related tasks, including administrative responsibilities when necessary.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills, capable of representing EIFO in discussions with domestic and international venture capital funds.
- The ability to manage projects independently, while collaborating effectively within a team.
