About the Role

DailyPay is looking for a results-driven and seasoned Business Development leader with significant expertise in the Human Capital Management (HCM) technology landscape. This role is critical to accelerating DailyPay's market penetration and revenue growth through the strategic deployment of "Built In" solutions. You will be at the forefront of identifying, negotiating, and securing high-value partnerships with key HCM platforms—including HRIS, payroll, workforce management, and time & attendance providers—to deeply embed DailyPay's offering creating reciprocal value.

Your primary objective will be to expand our embedded footprint across the HCM ecosystem, structuring and executing deals that drive mutual success and establish DailyPay as an indispensable component of our partners' platforms. This position demands a strategic thinker with a proven ability to navigate complex partner ecosystems, influence technical integrations, and align cross-functional teams to achieve ambitious growth targets. You will be instrumental in shaping our HCM partnership strategy and building a robust pipeline of embedded solution opportunities.

What You Will Be Responsible For

  • Secure and execute high-impact agreements with strategic platform partners to develop commercial and product-based embedded partnerships, accelerating sales and driving product innovation.

  • Identify, evaluate, and close strategic partnership opportunities with HCM providers for platform integrations and embedded experiences.

  • Negotiate and finalize high-value partnership deals with HCM platforms, focusing on successful "Built In" deployments and long-term results.

  • Collaborate with internal product, engineering, marketing, and sales teams to ensure effective technical integration, go-to-market execution, and ongoing success of "DailyPay Built In" within partner HCM platforms.

  • Conduct market research to identify and prioritize potential HCM platform partners for "Built In" integrations and stay informed on industry trends.

  • Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of strategic HCM platform integration opportunities, aligning "DailyPay Built In" and commercial partnership expansion with revenue growth objectives.

What You Bring to The Team:

  • Deep expertise in the HCM technology ecosystem (HRIS, payroll, benefits, workforce management, time & attendance), with a proven track record of leveraging an existing network among key players to forge and expand embedded solution partnerships. Demonstrable understanding of the operational intricacies and integration points within these platforms.

  • 12+ years of progressive experience in business development and strategic partnerships within the technology sector, with a significant focus on driving adoption of embedded solutions through embedded integrations within larger enterprise platforms, ideally HCM.

  • 5+ years of dedicated technology and platform partnership expertise, specifically in structuring and executing API-driven partnerships and complex platform integrations that result in successful business outcomes.

  • Demonstrated capability to work effectively across internal teams (Product, Engineering, Sales, Marketing), aligning functions to support the successful scoping, development, and launch of partnership program, and influencing technical roadmaps to enhance product-market fit for embedded solutions.

  • Proven cross-functional leadership and the ability to influence diverse internal and external stakeholders, acting as a critical liaison between DailyPay teams and HCM partner organizations to drive complex "Built In" integration projects to completion.

  • Substantial experience in conceptualizing, structuring, and negotiating complex partnership agreements, particularly those involving revenue share models, co-marketing commitments, and technical integration requirements inherent in "DailyPay Built In" deployments within HCM platforms, with a keen understanding of current and future state financial outcomes.

  • Advanced strategic thinking and planning capabilities, with experience developing and executing comprehensive strategies for penetrating target HCM markets and establishing "DailyPay Built In" as a leading embedded solution.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to compellingly articulate the value proposition of "DailyPay Built In" to both technical and executive audiences within prospective HCM partner organizations.

  • Strong ability to collaborate effectively across all organizational levels to ensure seamless execution of go-to-market strategies and ongoing operational success for "DailyPay Built In" integrations within the HCM ecosystem.

What Good Looks Like In Year 1

  • Blueprint the "DailyPay Built In" HCM market approach game plan (90 Days): Develop and present a data-backed strategic roadmap, identifying and prioritizing key HCM platform targets (HRIS, Payroll, WFM, T&A) ideal for deep integration. This includes initial validation of technical feasibility and market impact, outlining a clear engagement and qualification process.

  • Optimize & Mobilize for "Built In" Integration Success (6 Months): Assess and align internal Business Development, GTM, and technical resources to effectively execute the "DailyPay Built In" strategy. Implement streamlined operational workflows and engagement models specifically designed to expedite the partner lifecycle – from identification and technical scoping through to negotiation and successful API-driven integration of "DailyPay Built In" with HCM platforms.

  • Champion Product-Market Fit through Partner Feedback (Ongoing, Key Insights by Mid-Year): Establish and actively manage a continuous feedback loop with prospective and active HCM partners regarding the "DailyPay Built In" solution. Synthesize market intelligence and direct partner input to provide actionable insights to Product and Engineering teams, directly influencing the "DailyPay Built In" roadmap to enhance integration capabilities, user experience, and overall market resonance within the HCM ecosystem.

  • Secure & Launch Foundational "DailyPay Built In" HCM Partnerships (End of Year 1): Successfully negotiate and close 2-3 pivotal partnership agreements with strategic HCM platform providers. Crucially, achieve fully launched "DailyPay Built In" technical integrations with at least 1-2 of these key partners, complete with activated joint go-to-market plans.
