Collective Health is seeking an exceptional and results-oriented Director of Talent Acquisition to champion our comprehensive talent strategy. This pivotal role will build upon and scale our current approach to identifying, attracting, and hiring top-tier talent across all functions. As a natural player/coach, you'll lead a lean recruiting team, drive operational excellence, and partner closely with leaders to fuel our growth.
You'll be instrumental in shaping our workforce strategy, in partnership with the business partners, ensuring we have the right people in the right roles with the right skills, while optimizing cost and embracing both our contingent and extended workforce. As a member of the people leadership team, you will work closely across the people team functions to ensure alignment with talent planning, scalability, compensation, and employee onboarding.

What you'll do:
- Team Leadership & Development: Lead, mentor, and empower a high-performing recruiting team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and data-driven execution. You'll inherit a talented group, and your role will be to further develop their capabilities and ensure they're equipped for significant growth.
- Stakeholder Partnership: Build strong, credible relationships across the organization with senior leaders, including the executive leadership team, serving as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert on all talent acquisition matters.
- Strategic Workforce Planning: Partner with key stakeholders to develop and execute a holistic workforce strategy that directly supports business objectives and informs our overall talent acquisition roadmap. You'll build upon our existing strong talent acquisition foundation, evolving it to meet the demands of a rapidly scaling organization.
- Contingent Workforce Management: Oversee the development and optimization of processes and systems for planning, hiring, and evaluating our contingent workforce.
- Pipeline & Sourcing Innovation: Design and implement an effective, inclusive talent pipeline strategy to attract diverse, best-in-class talent for current and future growth. Champion a world-class candidate experience at every stage of the funnel, reinforcing Collective Health’s brand and values.
- Operational Excellence: Support the continuous evolution of our talent acquisition strategy and operating model, introducing innovative programs and processes to enhance speed, quality, scalability, and to drive efficiencies.
- Data-Driven Decisions: Champion the use of analytics to derive insights, optimize talent acquisition outcomes, and drive efficiencies across the entire recruiting function.
- Employment Branding: Drive our employment branding strategy and tactics in close collaboration with the Marketing team.
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
- 15+ years of progressive experience in talent acquisition, with at least 5 years in a leadership/management role overseeing both technical and non-technical recruiting teams.
- Proven track record of designing, implementing, and optimizing best-in-class talent acquisition strategies in fast-paced, lean environments.
- Strong collaborative approach to building relationships with business leaders across the organization and within the people team, championing the success of the entire people function.
- Strong analytical mindset with demonstrated success leveraging data, KPIs, and metrics to drive insights, inform decisions, and optimize recruiting outcomes.
- Expertise in building and scaling robust business processes for talent planning, alignment, and resource management.
- Exceptional ability to build rapport and credibility, functioning as a trusted business partner to senior leaders while maintaining the highest levels of integrity.
- Experience coaching and developing recruiting professionals to enhance individual and team effectiveness.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience in a fast-growing technology company is strongly preferred.
Pay Transparency Statement
This is a hybrid position based out of our San Francisco office, with the expectation of being in office at least two weekdays per week. #LI-hybrid
The actual pay rate offered within the range will depend on factors including geographic location, qualifications, experience, and internal equity. In addition to the salary, you will be eligible for stock options and benefits like health insurance, 401k, and paid time off.
