Position Overview
As the Senior Manager, Strategic Finance, you will play a crucial role in supporting the business at both corporate and project levels. This position requires a combination of financial expertise, strategic thinking, and effective communication skills. Reporting to the Director of Strategic Finance, you will be responsible for various financial functions, including project management, financial analysis, budgeting and forecasting, key performance indicator management, cross-functional collaboration, and risk management.
What You'll Be Working On
Duties include but not limited to:
Project Management
Collaborate with project teams to ensure effective monitoring, reporting, and invoicing.
Oversee and coordinate project-related financial activities.
Financial Analysis and Modeling:
Conduct in-depth cost analysis to support strategic initiatives.
Develop and maintain complex financial models to aid decision-making.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
Lead entity-level budgeting and forecasting processes.
Utilize advanced modeling techniques to enhance accuracy in budget projections.
Implement best practices in budget management to optimize financial performance.
Key Performance Indicator Management:
Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) relevant to financial performance.
Utilize advanced analytical tools to analyze KPI trends and provide actionable insights.
Cross Functional Collaboration:
Collaborate with business partners to understand and address specific project needs.
Work closely with other departments to ensure financial alignment with overall business objectives.
Risk Management:
Identify and assess financial risks.
Develop and implement strategies to mitigate risks and ensure financial stability.
Physical and Travel Requirements
This is a remote position with less than 10% travel requirements. Occasional planned travel may be required as part of the role.
What You Bring
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Strong financial modeling and analytical skills, including proficiency in advanced modeling techniques.
Advanced proficiency in advanced Excel functions.
Proven experience in implementing budgeting best practices for enhanced financial performance.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proven project management experience.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Familiarity with Board of Directors (BoD) level reporting and M&A due diligence.
Certifications/Licenses, Education, and Experience:
2 - 4 Years of Investment Banking and/or Management Consulting Experience / Valuation Advisory; or 4 - 6 Years in a Corporate Finance / FP&A role
