About the job you’re considering
We are seeking an experienced Scrum Master to coordinate the work of an Agile development team and support the end-to-end product development lifecycle. This role is responsible for planning, facilitating, and optimizing Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, demos, backlog reviews, and retrospectives.
The Scrum Master partners closely with clients, end users, product management, and development leadership to ensure business requirements are well understood and Agile best practices are consistently applied. Acting as a servant leader, this role proactively identifies and removes impediments that may slow progress, while promoting continuous improvement to help the team meet delivery goals and milestones.
Your Role
- Plan, facilitate, and lead all Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, demos, board reviews, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
- Ensure effective breakdown of work by guiding the decomposition of epics and stories into sub-stories, tasks, spikes, and other actionable items.
- Coach the team on Scrum principles and ensure consistent adherence to Agile processes, enabling a high-performing and self-organizing team.
- Ensure stories are properly progressed through all required workflow steps to maintain transparency and delivery momentum.
- Identify, remove, and escalate impediments that impact team productivity, while encouraging focus on committed sprint work.
- Partner with Development Managers to support effective planning, prioritization, and capacity management.
- Conduct retrospectives and facilitate continuous improvement initiatives based on team feedback and performance insights.
- Schedule and facilitate backlog grooming sessions to ensure readiness of upcoming work.
- Support the development of delivery timelines and schedules in collaboration with PMO, including capacity planning, resource loading, and forecasting.
- Assess resource capacity and proactively identify gaps or the need for additional resources; support resource balancing strategies as needed.
- Collaborate with clients and end users to clarify business requirements and ensure alignment with development output.
- Act as a liaison between development teams and product management to ensure project processes, governance, and delivery standards are followed.
- Monitor risks and delivery issues, escalating concerns beyond the development team when needed and driving resolution through appropriate management channels.
Your skills and experience
- Overall 10+ years’ experience with minimum 5+ years of related experience in Robotic / Embedded /Manufacturing environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related technical or engineering field OR equivalent work experience.
- Strong working knowledge of Agile methodologies and the Scrum framework.
- Hands-on experience with Scrum and Agile tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, Smartsheet, JAMA)
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and conflict resolution skills. Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional and distributed teams. Solid understanding of basic project management principles and practices.
- Scrum Master Certification (e.g., Certified ScrumMaster – CSM) preferred.
The base compensation range for this role in the posted location is:$65,200 -$158,550/Year
Capgemini provides compensation range information in accordance with applicable national, state, provincial, and local pay transparency laws. The base compensation range listed for this position reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation Capgemini, in good faith, believes it may pay for the role at the time of this posting. This range may be subject to change as permitted by law.
The actual compensation offered to any candidate may fall outside of the posted range and will be determined based on multiple factors legally permitted in the applicable jurisdiction.
These may include, but are not limited to: Geographic location, Education and qualifications, Certifications and licenses, Relevant experience and skills, Seniority and performance, Market and business consideration, Internal pay equity.
It is not typical for candidates to be hired at or near the top of the posted compensation range.
In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for additional compensation such as variable incentives, bonuses, or commissions, depending on the position and applicable laws.
