Job Description

  • We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Adobe Experience Platform (AEP) Lead Engineer to define and deliver the architectural, integration, and activation strategy for enterprise‑grade AEP implementations. In this role, you will collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams to drive data ingestion, modeling, and activation across Adobe and third‑party ecosystems.
    Roles & Responsibilities
  • Lead the end‑to‑end design, development, and deployment of solutions on Adobe Experience Platform (AEP), including Real‑Time CDP, Journey Orchestration, and Customer AI.
  • Define, implement, and optimize data strategies for customer segmentation, personalization, and omnichannel activation.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to ensure AEP capabilities align with marketing, analytics, and customer experience objectives.
  • Build scalable and secure data pipelines for ingesting, transforming, and activating customer data using AEP components such as Data Collection, Data Lake, and Identity Services.
  • Design and maintain XDM (Experience Data Model) schemas while ensuring strong data governance and compliance.
  • Integrate AEP with Adobe Experience Cloud products (Adobe Analytics, Adobe Target, Adobe CJA) and external systems such as CRMs, DMPs, and cloud data warehouses.
  • Provide thought leadership in Customer Data Platforms (CDPs) and Data Management Platforms (DMPs).
  • Conduct user training, develop documentation, and support adoption across teams.
  • Offer expert guidance on API usage and integration patterns, including potential scenarios that should be evaluated before implementation.
  • Monitor system performance, resolve technical issues, and ensure data quality, integrity, and security.
  • Stay current with AEP releases, enhancements, and best practices to continuously optimize platform usage.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • 9+ years of experience working with digital experience platforms, including 4+ years in AEP implementation.
  • 3–4 years of hands‑on experience in Adobe Experience Platform development.
  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript, Python, RESTful APIs, JSON, and XML.
  • Experience with data warehousing, data modeling, and data quality practices.
  • Expertise in Adobe Launch and Web SDK implementation.
  • Deep understanding of AEP components including XDM, Web SDKs, and APIs.
  • Experience integrating AEP with Adobe Target, Customer Journey Analytics, Adobe Campaign, and other MarTech platforms.
  • Ability to design and develop data pipelines and system integrations using AEP.
  • Proficiency in implementing data modeling, governance, and security best practices.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills for addressing data quality issues and performance challenges.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with marketing, product, and data science teams.
  • Familiarity with privacy regulations such as GDPR, CCPA, and the DPDP Act.
  • Experience analyzing data trends to generate insights and recommendations.
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies and project management principles.
  • Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and lead cross‑functional initiatives.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with at least one public cloud provider’s CDP.
  • Experience using AI‑assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot.

The base compensation range for this role in the posted location is 100,000 to 130,000

Capgemini provides compensation range information in accordance with applicable national, state, provincial, and local pay transparency laws. The base compensation range listed for this position reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation Capgemini, in good faith, believes it may pay for the role at the time of this posting. This range may be subject to change as permitted by law.

The actual compensation offered to any candidate may fall outside of the posted range and will be determined based on multiple factors legally permitted in the applicable jurisdiction.

These may include, but are not limited to: Geographic location, Education and qualifications, Certifications and licenses, Relevant experience and skills, Seniority and performance, Market and business consideration, Internal pay equity.

It is not typical for candidates to be hired at or near the top of the posted compensation range.

In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for additional compensation such as variable incentives, bonuses, or commissions, depending on the position and applicable laws.
