Capgemini is hiring Middleware Architect who will lead the design and implementation of enterprise-level middleware solutions, ensuring robust integration across diverse applications and platforms. This is senior manager level role and demands deep technical expertise, strategic vision, and leadership capabilities to drive middleware architecture for large-scale, complex environments. The position is fulltime hybrid and would require local or relocation to Troy, MI.
Your role
Define and govern middleware architecture standards and frameworks.
Align middleware strategies with enterprise architecture and business objectives
Architect scalable, secure, and high-performance middleware solutions.
Oversee integration of ERP, CRM, cloud platforms, and legacy systems using SOA, ESB, and API-driven approaches
Evaluate emerging middleware technologies and recommend adoption strategies.
Drive modernization initiatives, including migration to cloud-native and microservices architectures
Ensure adherence to security, compliance, and regulatory requirements.
Establish best practices for middleware development and deployment.
Lead cross-functional teams of architects and developers.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior architects and engineers.
Conduct capacity planning and performance tuning for middleware platforms.
Implement monitoring and disaster recovery strategies for mission-critical systems.
Your skills and experience
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
15+ years in IT with at least 8–10 years in middleware architecture and integration.
Proven experience in large-scale enterprise architecture and global deployments.
Deep knowledge of middleware platforms (IBM WebSphere, Oracle Fusion Middleware, MuleSoft, TIBCO, Kafka).
Expertise in SOA, ESB, API management, microservices, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
Strong programming background (Java/J2EE) and integration protocols (SOAP, REST, JMS).
Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Strategic thinker with strong problem-solving abilities.
