Business Development Executive – Life Sciences (Medical Devices, Biotech, BioPharma)

About the Role
Join Capgemini’s dynamic sales team and help shape the future of Life Sciences. As a Business Development Executive, you will play a key role in driving growth across Product Engineering in Medical Devices, Musculoskeletal, Biotech, and BioPharma domains. This position offers career development opportunities, mentorship, and the chance to work with industry-leading experts.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop new business opportunities within the Life Sciences sector, focusing on Medical Devices, Biotech and BioPharma.
- Drive the sales process from lead generation to closure, leveraging Capgemini’s subject matter experts and executive network.
- Originate and qualify leads through multiple channels, including networking, social media, events, and strategic outreach.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with C-level executives in targeted accounts.
- Collaborate with technology services, outsourcing teams, and sector groups to deliver tailored solutions.
- Identify client challenges and industry trends to craft compelling value propositions.
- Manage client expectations throughout the sales cycle and ensure successful deal closure.

Maintain a robust pipeline of qualified opportunities and achieve revenue growth targets.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum 8 years of experience in business development or enterprise sales in Product Engineering and Technology Services Sale within Life Sciences (Medical Devices, Biotech, BioPharma).
- Proven track record of exceeding annual sales quotas ($7MM–$20MM) and closing consulting engagements ($500K–$10MM).
- Strong understanding of industry trends, technology spend, and client business environments.
- Demonstrated ability to generate organic revenue growth through strategic prospecting.
- Experience building relationships with senior executives and influencing decision-making.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to travel extensively while based in Indiana.
