This position contributes to success of Capgemini's end client by developing, implementing, and sustaining test automation, practices, methods, tools and controls in support of the mobile application development team. The mobile SDET works as a primary liaison between the web SDET team and all other work streams. Considers complete ownership for the automation needs and works closely with the team developing complex UI, API, CI, and environmental systems test automation. Mobile SDETs will be expected to take a proactive role in setting up and achieving goals / milestones for the team as well as recommending quality improvements to automation requirements, facilitating automation development, effective automation execution, and assist in the development and implementation of new automation technologies / frameworks. This role will have the primary focus in the development and sustainment of automation frameworks from the ground up with minimal usage of 3rd party frameworks, tools, and GUI driven automation tools.

Your role

• Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts
• Develop new automation frameworks, improve existing ones and implement automated test suites and test cases within those frameworks
• Implement process improvements to automation, development, automation execution and assist in their development and implementation
• Bring in efficiency with CI/CD and Cloud solutions
• Participate in tool and technology selection process and create proof of concept models for new technologies
• Monitor, consolidate, analyze, debug, and communicate automation test results
• Create and manufacture test data needed for execution or database population
• Participates in the continual maintenance of code base and refactoring

Your skills and experience

• Strong coding knowledge and experience in Object Oriented development languages (Java Script, python etc.)
• Experience (4 or more years) in developing test automation (unit, functional, integrated or end-to-end)
• Experience in applying algorithms and design patterns to solve complex problems
• Demonstrate knowledge using version control and defect tracking methods, including an understanding of associated tools/software (Bitbucket, GitHub, TestRail, Jira, Azure Dev Ops or similar)
• CI/CD tools – Bamboo, GitHub actions, or Jenkins
• Experience/familiarity in Agile / Scrum / Kanban / DevOps processes

At Capgemini, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role. The base salary range for the tagged location is $65,200 - $158,550. This role may be eligible for other compensation including variable compensation, bonus, or commission. Full time regular employees are eligible for paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401(k), and any other benefits to eligible employees. Note: No amount of pay is considered to be wages or compensation until such amount is earned, vested, and determinable.
